YOu are right Dean, RJF was over paid and we just paid about the same amount for a guy who had LESS production than him. But because the Redskins signed McGee... you see all this upside. To you Baker had no upside, because there is no upside in being the teams most productive Dlineman I guess.

Dean I have said it before and i will say it again, you hear the names that all the talking heads are up in arms about and you swoon. Ziggy hood was a first round draft pick, he must be good, Phil Taylor was a first round draft pick... perfect. If Hankins signs else where, will you switch your object of desire to Poe??

You are not evaluating Hood fairly. He is not a NT. RJF productive? lol. that is a laugh. MCgee and Mcclain bring more to the table then Baker and RJF.

And you are once again over valuing Hood based on no other fact than he was a former first round pick.

And seriously Dean, ten days ago you had no clue who McGee was... now they bring more to the table?? And IM giving you a pass on McClain only because you MIGHT have known who he was considering he played for a division rival.

Hood had more production than RJF and he was out of position. The first round pick status has nothing to do with it. MCgee is a monster who can rush the passer. I don't know how you cant be excited about this guy. I like the Mcgee signing better than the MClain signing. We will se when the season starts.

Might want to double check that hoss.

Hood played 660 snaps on defense, or 60% of the Snaps.
RJF played 439 snaps, or 39.98% of the snaps

Hood had 33 tackles and one sack
RJF had 32 tackles and 1.5 sacks

So in 221 more snaps, All world Hood managed 1 yes I say again ONE more tackle and .5 sacks less... and you say he was MORE PRODUCTIVE??

He was out of position. You still wont realize this. Plus he is cheaper.

So thats your go to now... But he was out of position?? Well I agree... he was being asked to start, when he should have never been more than a backup. Either way, I just proved to you that Hood was actually LESS productive than RJF.

Just fess up man... you just like saying his name. I bet every time he actualy did do something during the game you would go into your

Ziggy, Ziggy, Ziggy..... ZIGGGGGYYY chant wouldnt you?

You really have to have your head in the sand not to believe this was a results of RJF's critical comments. Especially from this petty, vindictive organization.

@skinsdad62 As I said in the other thread do you finally understand why quotes come from unnamed sources? As I have tried to explain to you people know if they put their name to critical comments this could happen to them too. Maybe RJF was cut for other reasons, just maybe. But players don't know for sure so why put yourself at risk by being quoted? This hardly means their comments should be dismissed, it just means they don't want the possibility of this happening to them.

If anything an unnamed source will be more accurate as they know they will be protected. When they are quoted you get bullshit like "I am in Jim Zorn's corner, he's a great coach".
Not buying and will never buy it so time to move on

You sure have a lot of posts for someone who is emotionally detached Sty. Maybe you are just trying to convince us you don't like Dan and Bruce. :D

Manusky: The Redskins will look for their 2017 nose tackle in the draft

They lost their top lineman, Chris Baker, to free agency. They released Ricky Jean Francois, arguably their second-best D-line performer in 2016. To replace them, they signed Stacy McGee and Terrell McClain. Neither is as good as Baker and in 2016 both were roughly on par with the performance on Francois.

Remember those guys are younger so they have room to grow in production

Started to just let this go, but I'm curious, how do you conclude that I must have some sort of emotional attachment based upon postings on a site like this. Keep in mind that this is essentially conversation by keyboard.

I can't see us taking a NT at 17. Caleb Brantley, Elijah Qualls, Dalvin Tomlinson, Jaleel Johnson, Vincent Taylor are not 1st rd picks to me. So that leaves a RB, Lb or possibly a DE. The kid from Temple is looking right now to be the pick at 17.
