lol....i think Kevin Love does a great job summing up the "rumor mill" and all the bullshit surroundoing the Cavs of late.

NEW YORK -- The first month of 2017 saw Kevin Love become so violently ill from food poisoning that he lost 10 pounds in a span of three days, his back spasms became so intrusive he had to change the position he sleeps in at night and trade rumor notifications lit up his phone like a Christmas tree. And Love was able to laugh it all off Saturday.

"My life is so tough," a sarcastic Love said after putting up 23 points and 16 rebounds in the Cleveland Cavaliers' 111-104 win over the New York Knicks. "Oh, rumor mill! Aw, God"

Followed up with this
Congrats @Bolts great win....pretty nice having wins against hte Cavs and Warriors in the last couple weeks....

Watching that Cavs/Kings game the other day- it struck me that the Kings were playing hard, and playing team ball. IT seems like they are doing a pretty good job of that this year.

I used to think that they definitely should trade Cousins. After this year i dont think that anymore. - ESPECIALLY considering the new CBA where it makes it easier to keep him.

Cousins is one of the best in the league. He seems to be doing a little growing up- and you cant blame him for the Kings bad lotto picks.

Love on his trade rumors:

With everything seemingly coming to a head in New York -- facing off against the guy he has being linked to in those trade scenarios, Carmelo Anthony, and getting back on the court for a full game for the first time in more than a week because of his back -- Love's approach calmed it all down.

"I didn't really think about it," said Love who added that neither Cavs coach Tyronn Lue nor general manager David Griffin has addressed any potential trade with him. "Maybe the silver lining was getting through the back injury and just going out there and playing. Had I not done that, I don't know if it would have been different or not. It is the first game of a four-game road trip and get out there after missing a couple of games and just wanted to feel good."

He probably won't feel completely good until after the Feb. 23 trade deadline passes and he is fully assured he'll be staying with the Cavs.

In the meantime, the best thing he can do for himself is to have more nights like he did against the Knicks

"As a teammate, I don't feel sorry for him," Channing Frye told ESPN. "Who cares about rumors? We love him. We know what he does for this team. He's a Banana Republic model. ... Dude, he's fine. He's absolutely fine. He knows that we have his back.

Love, 28, readily admits that he wasn't always equipped to deal with the pressure that the Cavs circus involves, but he has "learned a lot in the past three years" since coming to Cleveland.

"It's no longer foreign to him," James Jones, perhaps Love's closest teammate, told ESPN. "He understands it. It's kind of hard to process when you're a younger player -- your name in trades and rumors -- but after you get used to it, you realize it's really a sign of value. If you don't have value, no one is calling."

The Cavs are calling for Love to just keep it up. Winning is the best silencer. When James, Love and Kyrie Irving are all healthy, Cleveland has never lost a playoff series.

But Whiteside just puts up numbers on a bad team?

Doesn't Cousins lead the league in T's this season?

Thompson was ALL OVER Porzingis defensively tonight.

Love with 23 and 16...NO WAY they trade him for Melo.

And LeBron of course puts up a ho-hum 32-10-5 on 12/20 shooting....lol....i love that Phil has to watch LeBron come into MSG and totally destroy his team like that.

ill tell ya- Brandon Jennings looked pretty good for the Knicks though- he would be nice to get i na deal. Hernangomez actually looks like a pretty good future big man for them as well. - Love fucking postertized him though! lol....you dont see that often.

Channing Frye- just shooting 42% from 3 this year.

"NO WAY they trade him for Melo."

Like that's any type of news or prediction?

Yet James is publicy crying for help.:sadbron:

Then get's personal with Barkley because he correctly pointed it out, and has no reply.

Actually Shaq owned him pretty hard. He said when you lose key players like mozgov and delly and other teams are adding and coming for your head as the champs you need to add players ...Charles wouldn't understand because he never won a championship

How many minutes did those 2 play in the finals?

Why are those "key" players gone?

In reality, they both could still be there, but unlike @WiggyRuss claims, of course money became a factor for Gilbert.

Everyone with a brain here knew Cavs would be maxed out, and other teams would have cap space.

You don't think James knew the math, but still secured every nickel for himself and then made sure his posse was overpaid?

Nothing Shaq said countered anything Barkley said.

Regardless, as was pointed out in the other thread yesterday, good bench/role players can provide quality minutes which allow the starters to get more rest.
James is forced to lead the league in mpg because if he sits you see what happens a lot of the time.

I'm so sick of hearing the Mozgov/Delly nonsense. If the Cavs front office is so great, why did they choose not to replace those 2? Both guys were done very early in July. They had nearly 3 months to find their replacements before preseason. They decided not to.

They prob thought they were good after watching summer league.
It was strictly financial.

At his age and with the mileage on his body.....he shouldn't be leading the team (much less the NBA) in mpg.

@WiggyRuss posted 1000x how he'd be able to chill this season.
