While everyone seems to be focused on the resigning of Kirk Cousins or how best to rebuild our Defense, there a story that's not getting the attention that it deserves, which just might effect both of those situations. It's at wide receiver where ideally, they’d re-sign either or both Jackson and Garcon. The looming question is what happens if neither comes back?

To me ,if neither returns the resultant ripple effects both the hoped for growth of Cousins in the passing game, and how SM approaches the upcoming draft. This is a big picture issue, and to date there's a real chance that DJax wants to go elsewhere, with reports that the organization has not yet reached out to Garcon and his reps begs the questions....If neither returns, What's plan B? What are the resulting effects on the team and this year's draft?

Here's a list of the Top free agent receivers:

Alshon Jeffery......Possibly stays in Chicago
Kenny Brit..........Could be a real target, but McVay might want to keep him.
Kenny Stills........A speed guy, that could come in as a possible replacement for Jackson.
Terrelle Pryor....Like Jeffery, likely stays with Cleveland.

Here's a list of the top receivers in the draft:

Mike Williams.............Likely a top ten pick
John Ross..................A real speedy guy, I'm not sure how good his hands are.
Corey Davis...............Big fella who plays with the toughness reminiscent of a Garcon
Juju Smith-Schuster....Another big tough player

Likely I forgot about that thread..apologies, however, if McVay keeps Britt, then what? How much of a set back goes with having to replace both of them?

If we lose both, hopefully Doctson is ready to play a full season. It is typical for rookie WR to miss significant time, so hopefully he was still able to get in shape mentally. Next finding someone who can stretch the field much like Djax will be a priority. Based on the FA available we could see the 1st or 2nd round be devoted to such a pick. In fact, if this were the case, he could have success, as he would probably see single coverage.
Really, losing them both, IMO just affects what we do in the draft. Crowder and Reed soften any possible regression for Cousins. JuJu is still being grossly underrated, much like Thomas of the Saints was

Ive seen Mike Williams compared to Deandre Hopkins and he does look pretty unstoppable on those back shoulder throws.

Corey Davis has been compared to everybody from Sammy Watkins, to Julio, to Dez, to TO. Not too shabby.

That said if we took either Id probably love the player hate the pick.

As for John Ross I like him from what Ive seen but he doesnt have the upside of being a dominant player like the other 2 do IMO.

And then Juju Ive just soured on. If we take him at 17 Im probably throwing something. If we take him in the 2nd or 3rd Im still not that happy.

slants, digs, curls, outs, streaks?

i think dox would have to do what jax does , the others would have to do garcon's role

Sold on Kupp, just looked at some film. Yeah he may not make it til the 4th if he can run at least a 4.58
probably could start right away too.

I probably share some of the same concerns about Britt that you do. He's missed one game in the last 3 years though. The 4 years before that he did appear to be injured quite a bit.

Of the pro players. I find both Pryor and Stills the most intriuging. If we darft another WR with a high pick......................boy or boy he better be somethin special.
