guys settle out of court for huge sums of money all the time for no apparent reason.

whether he was guilty or not- settling was the right move---

he was indicted by a grand jury and was set to go to trial until he "settled" and the alleged victim refused to testify afterwards.

If I was Kobe and a grand jury indicted me and my life was potentially on the line- i would have settled too if i had the cash like Kobe.

Don't you think TAKING the settlement would imply you were lying to get paid?? Most r*pe victims don't want money- they want their rapist to go to jail.

there are other things at work though too--- she would obviously have to take the stand and open her self up to all kinds of potentially embarrassing cross examination from the Defense Attorney....

i couldnt argue with someone who picked either way--- prosecuting to the very end-- or saying- i want no part of this- i dont want to take the stand and get torn up on cross-examination and risk we lose anyway- ill just take 2 million dollars.

And I know you didn't know he was a part of that community which is probably why you should've just stayed out of it. Also, he's posted on this site way more than 220 times. I don't have time or patience to look back through any of them- let alone ALL of them.
