That they need defense to compete with the Warriors. Nothing they do will allow them to compete with the Warriors. Their best hope is to avoid the Warriors and play the Spurs in the 2nd round.

Over the past 2 seasons, the Warriors have scored an average of 116.5 ppg vs. the league. They average 121 vs. the Clippers. The Clippers give up an average of about 102 ppg vs. the league.

Over that same time, the Clippers have averaged about 106 ppg vs. the league and 105 ppg vs. the Warriors.

You may be right that they can't do anything to compete with the Warriors, but if they're going to try, it needs to be by getting better defensively.

If they're not going to try, then they should just give up and trade CP3, DeAndre and @Mecca to the Lakers (if she'll waive her no trade clause).

Yep also 1st class organization with a great coach who usually gets the most out of his teams.

I have to admit. Spo's been a bright spot this season. I've always considered him average. But after this season given what he had to work with on top of the injuries that piled up to start; he's been good.

The worst part is that nobody can even try to fool themselves by making the excuse that it would have been a closer game if everyone was healthy.

It wouldn't.

Warriors absolutely OWN the Clippers.

Been trying to tell everyone before the season that the Clips have no chance against the Dubs. Sans Cleveland, the only other team with a shot is the Spurs. And that one is doubtful as well.

Just started watching 5 minutes ago. Is it that bad?
yah

they pulled him.

you could tell right away he wasnt right. he was 0/4 when they finally decided to sit him down.

the Cavs defense is playing really well.....only reason they are winning right now.

Thompson is playing really well...3 blocks and 2 steals, and playing really good D switching here and there on RW.

@WiggyRuss

I'm surprised you didn't mention LeBron became the 1st Cav to score 20,000 for the franchise. Just saw that on espn.com.

I see Westbrook went for 20, 10 and 12 against the Cavs today. The funny thing is, with the season he's having, that actually counts as shutting him down.

If OKC makes the playoffs is there anyone other than Westbrook for MVP?

Could have been a completely different game if RW was better than 7-26 from the field today though.

The only challenger I can see would be Harden. I'd probably give the edge to Westbrook because he plays defense, but Harden is making a strong case for himself.
