So how does everybody think it will work if the Clips get Melo?
Paul
Reddick
Anthony
Griffin
DJ
Sounds like an All-Star team on paper.
agreedTrue, it isn't fair to judge the Lakers with some of the injuries they've had.
Regardless of the injuries, I think the 76ers have been in a better situation than them. Yes, the 76ers don't have roster balance and that's an issue, but they've got Embiid and Simmons and I wouldn't trade either of those guys individually for any two player combination on the Lakers roster. They also own either the Lakers 2017 or 2018 first round pick, a pick swap from Sacramento, the 2019 Sacramento pick, and their own picks -- so the roster balance isn't a huge issue to me.
We'll see how things pan out. I think the Lakers are moving in the direction of becoming a solid playoff team in a couple years but I don't see them being a legitimate threat to win the Finals unless they strike gold on one of their upcoming picks (which they may not even have the rights to) or they're able to lure a top-tier free agent (which seems less and less likely, especially considering the Deng/Mozgov contracts.)
And that's it? You don't think they'd want at least 1 other player? Like Jamal?
No, they have to send out equal salary.
The Knicks don't want Crawford. They want Rivers, Redick.
They are looking for another team to take Crawford.
Maybe the Cavs?
@Shanemansj13 listed Redick as the starting sg after the Melo trade.
No way he's still on the roster.
Got it. What's left on Crawford's deal? Can the Cavs even afford him? I am really asking because I don't follow players' salary too closely. No, they have to send out equal salary.

i think thats a good point- especially iwth phils feud with lebron- phil isnt doing the cavs any favors thats for sure--- unless melo just forces his hand.
I'm watching First Take w/ Stephen A & Max Kellerman debating why PJ is now considering trading Melo to the Clips without getting CP3, Blake or DJ back in return.
If true I personally think his strategy is to trade him to the West so that the Cavs can't have him.

Going to have to gut your team to get Melo. Is it really worth it at this point?
