Found the answer to my question. A team is not required to allow an interview for a position coach for a coordinating gig. Only a HC opportunity.

Heard some speculation regarding Romeo if Bill O Brien gets blown out this weekend and it results in him being fired. There's been friction between him and his FO. Course, Houston could give Romeo the HC Gig if that happened also.

According to Matt Barrows of the Sacramento Bee, former 49ers coach Jim Tomsula is on the Redskins' "radar."

The Redskins are in the process of filling out their coaching staff after losing two of their coordinators in the last week. It's unclear what position they're considering Tomsula for, though we're guessing it would be as some sort of defensive assistant. Tomsula was out of the league last season after leading San Francisco to a disappointing 5-11 finish in 2015.

Radio is saying why was Barry fired without the F.O. having definite replacements in mind.
With the position STILL not being filled, one could wonder if they just made an impulsive fire.

I hope you are right...I really do. Tell me this SKinsdad, why are we waiting to hire a DC when they are flying off the market? If Brantley was the main target, why did he leave DC without a contract?

How is that brand new HC already have a DC, yet, we are going on week 2 almost.

I think people have a right to panic because Gruden doesn't have a great track record of picking DCs. Haslett and Barry were disasters.
