You just don't realize what KC's asking price is going to be.

NO I do... and as such I say let him walk. Give that money to guys that deserve it. Forget that h has been the best consistent QB we have had in 20 years.... let him walk, trade up in the draft for another QB, extend our core guys. Kirk doesn't have the support of the Front office or the fan base. So why should we even consider resigning him at any point right now? Its obvious we could put any one in with this offense and make it work. So who ever we get in the draft shroud be an improvement.

I seriously hope we let him walk. Give Joe Barry the players he needs, and all will be well.

No need to be like that. So you want the overpay for KC.

He couldve pulled it down and run. Nobody forced him to throw that ball. Oline was by no means great but that int is on kirk.

Exactly throw the ball into the ground in the direction of the INT or run with the ball. All I am saying Shark you have to make sure if I am going to lose the game I am not going to give it away. Do what ever needs to be done to live to see another day at all cost. It was not 4th down.

It ddnt have to be 4th down. He had 2 INTs in the game. One which was on target and the WR fell down... on a timing pass.

The other which was on target, the defender made a play on the ball and the QB was trying to get it out because he had 2 300Lb men in his lap. Im not saying he ha a good game and should be held blameless. But from what i have constantly heard from this fanbase, and from the team for that matter.... I hope we dont even try to resign him.

Shcerff got destroyed tonight and game up a huge sack. At the end of the game any QB worth a damn should be able to drive a team down the field to get a game tieing FG with the season on the line.

Kurt played badly, no doubt, in a must win game. He played badly in the carolina game too. He also set all kinds of passing records for the second year in a row. And if we are really being honest with the state of the redskins, I think we all know that Cousins isnt the problem that, say the entire dl less possibly Chris Baker, lack of safeties, and slow as molasses ilbs are.

Perhaps you clowns want the likes of john beck, danny wuefferel, gus frerotte, or rg3 manning the helm again? Got a lot of confidence in Nate Sudfeld do you?
The redskins are competitive in most of their games, won more than they lost for two straight seasons, and have a competent gm running the show for the first time in 20 years. Chillax.

The problem is that do you pay KC who has shown to choke in big time situations over 20M a year? You can trash the defense all you want but I believe they stepped up this year with a lack of talent to put us in a position to win. We have a huge MONEY decision to make. Doesnt anybody realize this?

As i said, I hope they let him walk at this point for his sake. We need another narcissistic asshole of a QB that we trade up to get in the first round.

Because those are the only 2 scenarios. You're being about as reasonable as coach right now.

YOu dont franchise tag a QB that the front office is lukewarm on. You dont extend a QB that the Front office AND the fanbase is lukewarm on. Not for the type of money we are talking about.

Sure the other options are to sign a journeyman B, or draft some one in the second round.

But lets be real, if we dont retain Cousins, and we decide to draft a QB... its basically got to be a "franchise" QB. And rarely are you getting that at 20 in the draft.

Who knows. I'm not really feeling up to getting into a discussion on the whole shebang right now but posts where you claim it's between kirk and trading up for a narcissistic ahole are just pointless.

Heh. No doubt. Nothing quite says we don't believe in you or we're dissing you like paying a guy 19 million dollars.

The Franchise tag says we dont believe in you, but dont have a better option. Kind of like, we dont want to hire you on and give you benefits, but we will pay you as a contractor so we can cut you loose at any time.

Depends... I think the team has been looking for reasons NOT to do a long term deal with Cousins. In which case, the NY and Carolina games will loom large.

Nope. It says you believe you're capable of handling a major project that I have and will take years to complete. I saw your work on a similar, but smaller scaled project and I was impressed with how you finished up the project. But I also know you had some issues with the initial start-up of the project. So here's my offer to you. Work on my larger project doesn't begin till next year, but I have another project that's almost a carbon copy of the last project you completed. It needs to be finished before work on the the big project can begin. I will pay you top dollar to do this carbon copy project and by top dollar. I mean almost 8 times the amount of money that you've made in the last 4 years doing the same projects. With the entire amount guaranteed regardless what happens with this project. By that I mean. Even if you don't finish the project for whatever reason with whatever reason including me firing you at anytime during the project.

So whether you complete this project or not, or if you complete the project and I find its completion totally unacceptable. You will still be paid more money for it than all the money you've made in your entire life up to this point. If upon completion though I'm happy with your work. Not only will I hire you on to do the big project starting next year. I will pay you even more money per year than I'm gonna pay you for the project I've hired you to already do.....if you agree to the terms I've laid out.

You say what you will homey about a lack of trust for KC by the FO. Or fans being mean or unappreciative of KC. The franchise tag isn't all that bad a deal. Sure, there's a risk that comes with it mainly injury, but that risk was also there for the first 4 years of his career and will be present for the entirety of his career.

The one person who's most responsible as to whether KC gets a long term deal is KC himself. At least imo.

One more thing, Shark.

I doubt you change your mind, but....on the last INT by Cuz. KC more walked up into MM, MM wasn't pushed back into him. Moving up in the pocket the way he did allowed #59 to move laterally across MM's body and directly to where Cuz was moving to. As opposed to having to go through or around MM to get to Cuz. Had Cuz stayed where he was in the pocket at the deepest point of his dropback instead of gradually easing up in the pocket like he did. I think he would've been OK and not felt or gotten near as much pressure when he did as soon as he did.
