One thing I can say about this team is this offense is just as good, as any in the league. KC is playing, as good, as any QB in the league. Against the Packers and Cowboys, he's 62/83 for 824 yards 7TDs and 0INTS. No QB in the league has had numbers, like that in a two-game span for the year. This season, he's 302/447 for 3538 yards, 20 TDs and only 7 INTs. What's scary is he has five more games to go. He may not win, but he's gonna be in MVP discussions at the rate he's going. He fits this offense, like a glove. There's no question that he's a franchise QB. What I don't like is it seems like the FO is gonna jerk him around, based on the article that I read, today, indicating they may franchise tag him, again, if a long-term deal isn't reached. Defense needs to be the main focus. A new DC is needed, too. Joe Barry has drove me crazy for two years, straight.

Anyone left questioning if KC is a franchise Qb has no business posting on a football centric site as they know nothing about football. The guy is the real deal. He can make every throw, he quickly goes through his progressions, limiting sacks, and he is laser point accurate. Oh, and he still has room to grow. I swear, if this team fucks this up and we somehow lose Cousins, I will move to Canada......or something like that.

Give Barry a chance with some talent on the line.

Lets not and say we did. If this team doesnt get a wild card, some one is going to get fired. Joe No Go is the only logical choice.

You do realize you are talking about the team that walked into the draft needing D-line help. Decided a WR was a better option, and with virtually the entire WR class in font of them save one... managed to grab a guy who couldnt stay healthy.

Never doubt the ability of this team to fuck up the obvious. We have made an art form of it at times.

Dude, I've lived this nightmare for the last 18 years. Any time Snyder is involved, anything could happen. That guy could fuck up a wet dream.

My real concerns going forward are this...

The offensive arsenal is a one year thing. We will likely let Garcon, Jackson, and possibly Davis walk. So while logic says we should be trying to fix our front seven on the D, we will likely have some serious holes to fill on offense as well. IM not getting the war m and fuzzys from Doctson, so I see another WR high in the draft in our future unless Mo works out. We still need a better than average RT, as well as a LG.

As we are gonig to live or die by the offense, I got a bad feeling the defense will continue to be a patch work along the front seven.

Honestly, I didn't know what to think, when we drafted him. It was almost how I felt, when we drafted Desmond Howard. I was happy, but in the back of my mind...............The bottom line is, the very position we needed, we just ignored. The only one we drafted was a late rounder, who is on the practice squad. As much, as I like Josh Norman, perhaps, we could've put more of that money into getting our front seven together. Honestly, I also believe Joe Barry is a big part of the problem. Today, I kept saying, we need to play man and put more pressure on Dak. We played the bend and eventually break, defense. It was a joke. Next year, we need a better DC and a few more studs on defense. We also need to re-sign Chris Baker, of course.

I have no idea what will happen. I would be surprised if we let Garcon walk, but Jax is probably gone. And no-one really know about Doctson. Davis I think will be here, this is home to him and he works well in this offense. As for the RT, he may already be on the team. Nsekhe. They guy is a stud. So I am hopeful that we can land a stud DL or two in the draft, But we also need a S or two and at least one ILB. All of these needs will not come come in next year's draft. Me may have to spend some money in FA.

It's gonna be interesting to see what we do with Garcon, Desean, and Vernon Davis. It's hard to say, if we'll keep either. Hell! We still need to get our franchise QB locked up. Period. Jordan Reed's a stud, of course. I'm loving Jamison Crowder, week after week. I Maurice Harris could very well be a star. That was a hell of a catch he made, today. He made a big catch, last week and two key first down catches the year, before. I believe we will add another WR or two, next year. It's a given, if we lose those top three. LG has been an Achilles heel. Not impressed with Lavao. Period. Morgan Moses is just OK. Defense is not taken serious enough. We actually started the season with Kedric Golston, as our starting NT. Really!? Then, the coaches just refuse to keep Su'a Cravens on the field. They should've had him spying on Dak the whole game.

I was one that Railed against the Norman signing. But by and large that signing has panned out. I think next year we will try to find another Sua Cravens type guy to go play ILB. Also think we will stress getting younger and better at the safety positions. But if we are going to run a 3-4 defense.... for the love of deep fried twinkies.. .can I PLEASE get a forking NT that demands double teams?? Just one true NT would make a world of difference for this team.

Shark, any idea when we can actually sign KC? My guess is we have to wait until after the season, but do we get any special signing time before FA actually starts?

As I said in the other thread 2 years ago we were lost with a real questionmark at QB and with no reason for hope. Not even 2 years later Kirk has improved to the point where we do in fact have one of the better offenses in the league. The defene needs a ton of work, obviously. I am so done watching Josh Norman's antics as he gets beat over and over. We see him talking way more than we see him making plays, it's not even close. Beckham, AJ, Dez, they all roasted his ass. STFU and get a pick already.

But I'm extremely optimistic about this team moving forward. Give SM time to find safeties, ILBs and defensive help. Let's not forget the difference Gallete will make. Pass rush yesterday was non-existant.

Can somebody show me where Norman was roasted? Dez did nearly all his damage from the slot.

:tj: this thread started out as Kirk Cousins and the offense. I agree, anyone that does not see that Cousins is the QB of our future doesn't understand. That being said I am not moving to Canada because Rosie might move there since she is leaving the country. I would like to see him signed long term. Franchise tagging him is just letting the price go up even more.

We are a little over halfway through the rebuild and have made the playoffs the first year and at least look to be heading towards another winning season this year. I am satisfied with that, no. But it was more than I expected when they signed SM. As far as him missing (not 100% sure he did) on Doctson, no one hits them all. Two more years we should be ready to make a decent run.

Do you think Rosie could play NT in a 3-4?

I am not. Convinced KC is our guy we should trade up for deshaun Watson

He cant throw deep , he misses too many reads , he is a system qb , , he hasn't thrown for 500 yards in a game yet , or 5000 in a season and he chokes at playoff time

They better stretch the Cousins deal out for ten years,,, the guy is gonna kill it. I have always liked KC... even when he was tossing picks I saw something in him. His quick decisions,, his quick release,, his progression abilities,, his durability. Yea, our FO were idiots now in hind site for not signing him last year but they better give him what he want's... not certain McCoy, Hoyer or even Fitzpatrick could hold his jock... as for most QB's in this league.
