This offer is sitting on the table for me, as my trade deadline approaches tomorrow night at TNF kickoff. On the surface, this is very good return for a struggling player. However, a couple of thoughts/questions...
#1 - Is Brandon Marshall's upside, considering his talent and the amount of attention he still gets from Fitzpatrick. Still more valuable to me than what would be two flex option/depth piece RB's. Along with yet ANOTHER depth WR in Sanders, that is likely no better or worse than the large group of guys I already have after Julio?
#2 - Does this actually make my team better, if you're looking at it from purely a points/production standpoint from my lineup week-in and week-out? I am not convinced it does. Murray and Miller will just about always be in my two RB spots, outside of Murray's bye. Then, I'll have Julio as my WR1 every week. Then there's an open WR and flex spot. To be filled by Marshall, Cobb, Tyrell, Moncrief, Perkins (who I still think could breakout)
This is a funny offer to think over. When I look at it on the surface, I think those three guys together carry more value than BMarsh. Without question. However, the way my team is structured. I just think BMarsh's upside is more valuable than three depth/fringe-lineup pieces for me. Even if BM fails to rebound, I am not particularly worried, given the pieces I have behind him.
I actually think adding these guys would just give me more lineup headaches every week. Feel free to prove me wrong. Maybe Riddick is super legit and I'm missing it.
