You didn't answer the question.

How could Carpenter have stopped the kicking motion if the kicking Foot was drawn back to kick it?

He couldn't have. Thus my posting that in the Hawks forum. So what?

Oh ffs.

Several pictures have been posted already of Sherman's HAND ON THE FUCKING BALL, while the FG kicker is stull upright.

you.don't.get.to.make.up.your.own.reality.

That's false perception due to the angle. Do you a view that isn't from behind, where you are just assuming the hand is on the ball? You could argue just as easily that the kicker has already been contacted by Sherman from that view.

Just like it sucks to have the Testaverde phantom TD go against the Hawks, or the stupid Jackson OPI in the '05 Superbowl, or a litany of other bad calls over the years.

Shit happens.
I agree its been a problem for years but you guys over the last couple of years have benefited the most. This isnt even an argument. As a fan i get it who cares your team won but for the teams of the other fans and those players it sucks. It just seems like its always in critical situation with Seattle. J. Jones one was at the end of the game and their was another this year. I know refs will mess up during the game but they need to get these critical moments right for all teams. screw it have replay. Make sure u get those calls right.

It's been a 'problem' since sports have been played. Boo. Hoo. No-one gave me a tissue in '05, and nobody is going to give you one now.

NFL already admitted that roughing the kicker should've been called.

Heh, link us to the 'ball on the ground' part of the rules. I'll wait.

He can't link you to that because it isn't a thing. Once the ball is snapped it is in play and that includes the holder trying to get it set for the kicker. That is why when a holder bobbles the snap he'll often take off with the ball instead of trying to place it, because he knows he'll get leveled if a defender gets there first.

again, you don't get to make up your own reality.

There's a better reverse angle floating around that shows it even better.

LOL .... again, misrepresenting my words. I guess that's all you got.

I see a couple fingers on the ball and most of his body in Carpenter's knee.

Now, take the angle from which he started, a dive "at the ball" would make more sense, no?

Getting tired of trying to explain this. The play was unabated offsides. Play dead. Offensive player touched. Play dead. Ball touched. Play dead. That's three, count 'em, three times where the play is dead. Not my opinion. Actually dead. Not "if it was a QB he could throw it", or "nothing else Sherman could do", D-E-A-D.

The refs "gave Sherman the benefit of the doubt that he didn't hear the whistle".

Fine. If I accept that, (that will get messy when everyone uses that excuse), fine.

The "delay of game" was nothing short of an illegal call. The half is over. Get it right. Don't rush shit.

And finally, this is NOT why Buffalo lost the game. That is not the point.

Former NFL head of officiating Mike Pereira seemed to disagree because of the offsides penalty.

You can't have roughing the kicker because the play was shut down for defense offside. You can have a late hit which I think it was.

Looks like his hand is past the ball. Laces are still out...

So his hand went past the ball, but didn't touch it.

The logic, it BUUUUUUUUURNS!!!!!

Fine. If I accept that,

So then wtf are we arguing about? We agree.

Glad we got past that. You seem like a pretty good poster.

During the second half, NFL head of officiating Dean Blandino tweeted Sherman should have been flagged.

At the end of the half in #BUFvsSEA its unnecessary roughness for hitting the kicker. Foul means he can stay in the game.

— Dean Blandino

Its just like when they blow a call dead and a player hits the QB anyways its a Penalty. This is the same case. Seattle fans please dont argue this. it has been reported 100% they missed the call. U cant argue with 100%.

yep....darn shame people aren't more like you I guess. You aren't here to argue, you're here to educate.

always good to hold one's own opinion in higher regards. :thumb:

That's a D grade on the passive-aggressive scale.

May God have mercy on your soul.
