Yeah right up until you talk football with someone like that and they can make your head spin. I do think sometimes they get so caught up in trying to be slick they forget the simples stuff though. Good call ehb

Right. Like in reality they know they're shit but I think sometimes they miss the obvious stuff.

But...but...we the board of directors can't seem to agree on a whole lotta things, it would be interesting to see us do it though!!

36 passes; 30 runs = Hail Victory

The run game almost cost us a victory. The defense bailed us out. We gave the Giants a chance to win the game. The offense did not win this game.

To Sty's point. I disagree with you, but not in the sense that I'm saying you're wrong. I just see it a little differently. The running game as the thread attests to. Helped the Skins achieve balance and maybe more importantly, helped the Skins do something for the first time this year. Win the TOP game, 33:26 to 26:34. Now some might say that's not a lot, but the Giants averaged a point for every minute they had the ball. What if instead of running the ball 2 or 3 times where they gained minimal yardage, but kept the clock running. The Skins instead threw 2 or 3 imc passes. Nothing really changes except the clock stops with every imc pass. So instead of the Giants getting the ball with a minute, 51 seconds and 2 time outs left. The Giants have 2 minutes and 51 sec/3 minutes 20 sec left with 2 TOs and the 2 min warning. The extra time and extra TO would allow them to play call differently. If the game follows the same trek it had been. Chances are decent the Giants kick a FG.

Now I'm not saying it would've been inevitable the Giants score again. If the Skins threw a couple imc passes into of run the ball a couple times. And not saying you're wrong about the running game almost costing the Skins the game. I think it helped the Skins win the game. The big issue I saw Sunday was our inability to score TDs inside the red zone. 4 trips into the red zone yesterday and 0 TDs. That's 14 trips into the red zone this year, 14 times in 3 games sounds damn good and shows the Skins are moving pretty good between the 20s. But only 3 TDs about 31% is not so good.

I did dig the shit out of the two TDs the Skins scored. That was beaut of a bomb by Cuz to Djax and JC is showing he can be more than a move the chains, safety valve type WR. Norman looked good for the most poart, coming up with that INT would've been nice and the two INTs the Skins did get were great plays.

Every aspect of the team minus the kickers made some miscues imo, but they also came up with some huge plays at critical times. Hopkins and Way have booth been on point.

Agree. Overall the running game was not that much efficient with 3.5 yards per carry (without the runs by Cousins) but it was enough to keep the Giants guessing, and put some pressure off Cousins and the defense. They went back to what worked last year and they got the win.

Overall it was a fun game to watch. Couple of questionable call though :
- Throwing a fade to the smallest WR on the team
- Not calling a timeout before half-time after Reed's 25 yards catch
- Not going for 2 after Crowder's TD
- Being too conservative on 3rd and 3 after the 2 minutes warning

The key to the run game is not all about yards only, a very, very big part of the run game is getting the LBers to bite on play action so you open the zone defense some.

It's kind of hard for me to believe that the fans/media don't have influence when they suddenly start running the ball and immediately switch Normal on the top receiver after hearing all the criticism. Just hard to believe that was an accident. Despite limited room I thought Jones did well, the fumble was just a huge hit. Kelly needs new cleats.

I agree the running game is important but on the last play to WIN THE GAME you just don't run. There is no upside. The Giants had plenty of time to kick a game winning FG.

Hopefully the "revelation" came to them while watching film and discussing what helped KC be successful last year. Of course they could've read that in any number of media articles and probably on message boards so who knows.

Sigh,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,its been a very long time since we had an strong overall coaching staff.

KC has made bone headed errors , ie at the end of the first half , so i am not bothered by the runs and it was good to see them succeed

You got it. Beyond the run I also believe that they started to use Reid more on the short passes. One of the best weapons in the NFL - they need to use him as much as possible.

Although I like JReed very much I don't think he has been great against zone defenses this year. I expect he will get better. The team as a whole has struggled against zone, primarily in the red zone. Receivers have struggled to get open and Cousins has forced a couple of balls.
