does not a season make but here are my thoughts.

1. Cousins has thrown over 40 passes while the team has run under 20 times in first two games. not a winning recipe

2. One game but too much Doctson. We gave away downs on critical downs. Not to mention we removed known receivers to put him on the field.

3. Cousins, I didn't expect the same level as the 2nd half of last year but I expected more than this. Play out the season and see if it gets better.

4. Bruton, not good. Play Nacho or wish they had give Cravens more time there. Not hard to see why he was a career ST player.

5. D is not very good, Skins are going to have to score a lot to win.

On the bright side - Murphy, Cravens, Norman - that sounds like the D should be good but for a bust Murphy has been good through 2 games while I think Smith has been average

Lots of season to go.

Why in heavens name did we not address the Center position in the draft? We all saw this coming. Again, I am becoming less and less a fan of drafting BPA with this team. Other teams can do it and it works out but we always trying to remodel the bathroom when the roof has a hole in it.

1. Agreed horrible formula, pretty sure not what they had in mind at the onset of TC.

2. Could this in part be why PG was feeling the frustration? My eye is on this and a few other things relating to locker room interactions.

3. Agree with playing out the season.

4. Cravens did ball some today, may not have the full confidence of his coaches....yet. I can't remember much of Nacho's game, he's been injured too much.

5. Definitely has to be addressed of course we all said that before and during the draft.

With respects to Murphy, is it possible that he is a gamer? doesn't show a bunch in camp/practices but steps up when the lights are on.

Nice summation @Sportster 72

A very frustrating day losing to a team that really isn't all that.

And having multiple opportunities to beat said team. Got to tip your cap to the Boys, they made plays at critical moments, we didn't.

Biggest thing I noticed outside of poor play is the body language Kirk showed. He's had confidence issues in the past and I'll be interested to see how he battles though it. We need consistent 'good-average QB play' and if he doesn't provide it, the season is done.

This pass/run ration has to be fixed. It's a joke right now and a big part of placing too much pressure on Kirk. We know he can't succeed that way and that's on the coaches.

Can't understand why we haven't seen Nacho over Bruton and I think it's time to see what Fuller can do in place of Phillips.

the pass run ratio can be fixed, but I don't see Gruden really making a concerted effort to do so. Just not his DNA. He is an ex QB. He has always been pass happy. This may be the wedge that eventually divides Gruden and Scot. Scot wants a smash mouth identify, Gruden is more of a run and gun type guy.

Agree that I think the coaching staff wants to pass more often than run. Disappointed a little that we have not see Kelley at all.

There are guys that I think can play better on this team that need to step up, primarily Breeland and Cousins. Others also but the two named players have been disappointing so far.

That discord in Coach/GM philosophy definitely bears watching. I noted my concerns regarding it last week and they haven't changed.

McVay bears some responsibility in the run/pass ratio as well. The thing about the Giants is they are built to stop the run with last year's pick ups in FA. And they've looked good. I don't expect to see much change in the running game next week unfortunately.

I expected to see the team pass more but not to the point of being one dimensional which is where they stand now. Got to see it more like 60-40 for any real shot of play action success.

Its not the passing that is the problem. Do you guys realize that if KC was accurate yesterday he would of had 4-5Td's? KC was the big part of the loss. Crowder should of had two Td's. One to Doctson and one to Jackson. Plus one to Garcon in the corner of the endzone that he threw in the dirt. The funny thing is that he had all the time in the world to throw. It wasn't like he was getting rushed.

You don't believe me rewatch the game.

Yep, Kirk was inaccurate and needs to play better.

Still need to adjust the run/pass ratio.

He is actually not inaccurate, his completion percentage is 65%, he is missing big plays like the three potential TDs yesterday.

We also should be concerned about the 73% completion percentage of our opponents.

IM going to have to fine you $300k for attempting to use logic. There shall be no logic when pertaining to Cousins performance. It has been widely established he is an inaccurate hack, and no statistical or logical points to the contrary shall be allowed.

Ok - peace my friend. Time to move on to the Giants game. Hopefully - the Redskins learn something from the past two weeks & at least do the best that they can w/ the talent on the field (can't upgrade the talent - that will have to wait until the offseason). If not - oh well - this board can do what it does best - speculate about upcoming moves for this team. Ugh.

NP. I am heading up to DC to watch the Browns game. If things don't change I may change plans to golf or go to the Nats game. J/K - sort of.

Maybe it's just me but I've seen lots of balls thrown behind and low....some of which were 'completed' so far.

You know I'm no stat person without context - but that completion percent means nothing if we can't convert 3rd downs or have RZ efficiency.

Keim...

The money situations for a quarterback in the NFL? Third down and red zone. It’s a big reason why Cousins earned he franchise tag this offseason – and it also highlights his struggles through two games. In 2015, Cousins owned a 113.5 passer rating in the red zone by completing 50-of-78 passes for 22 touchdowns and no interceptions, according to ESPN Stats & Information. Through two games this season, Cousins has completed 5-of-17 for 34 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions for a 19.6 rating. He can clearly play better than he has thus far in both areas, though how much damage will be done by the time he turns it around (assuming he does)? In the red zone, there have just been some bad decisions – the interception Sunday was just terrible. He never saw the defender and he was drifting left when he threw and his feet weren’t turned so the ball had no zip as he threw back to the middle. Part of the problem is that Cousins doesn't do as well when going off-schedule, as this play was (though he also seemed to lock in on Pierre Garcon). As for the feet/drifting, it might not have made a difference, but it certainly made it easier for Barry Church to intercept.

People need to stop using completion percentage as a substitute for accuracy.

Now that I think of it, there was a moment where the sideline reporter told us that Kirk was in his feelings looking into the sky and towards the ground totally oblivious from what the coaches were trying to tell him. That alone has to get corrected by someone, possibly Matt Cavanaugh in a manner that let's him know that it will no longer be tolerated. This will help KC as time goes on.

I think that he's playing to the potential contract and that's causing him to play "tight" sometimes forgetting proper footwork and using good mechanics. No argument about anything else that you've written.
