Game 1- 9 penalties...Lich false start twice, V. Davis Hold, Trent false start and a hold, Matt Jones false start, Lauvao false start
We were in the red zone 4 times and got 1 TD.
Game 2- 8 penalties...Niles Paul formation, V. Davis false start, Lich false start
We were in the red zone 6 times...6 fucking times. We ended with 2 TDs. This loss was totally on the offense and more specifically KC. You can't throw that pick in the end zone.
At the Giants and home against the Browns. Neither team is known for their rushing ability. I know it is crazy but I think we can win both games. I think eventually we will get out of this offensive funk. If we lose both, it is obviously time to plan on the number one pick. If we beat the Browns and lose to NY, it will be a tough road.
We should be 1-1, and we could be 2-0 if the ball had bounced our way a bit more against PITT. We look sloppy and undisciplined. I have never seen a center false start three times in two games. Our rush defense was better against Dallas and our rush offense was better, but the question remains, why are we not running a little more? Jones actually looked decent today.
A couple individual notes, mostly negative:
KC- He really missed the preseason and looks very indecisive. I expect this to be better against NYG. He has had enough work now to be comfortable. At this point, glad we didn't sign him long term, but I still have faith in him.
LICH- Has to go...NOW. Leribeus was better than this, and he never knew the snap count. 3 false starts in 2 games...NEVER have I seen that.
Trent Murphy- Leading the team in sacks that bum.
