Yes! Big time. Plus, he's playing in New York. Good grief! Possibly going 0-3 is a very scary thing. If this team wins 5-6 games for the season, heads are going to surely roll. KC will not be a Redskin after the season. Period.

If we go 5-11 Cousins shouldnt be the only person fired. I would say he shouldnt even be the first person fired.

Its the same Cousins we saw early last year. It takes him a few games or more to get into his rhythm and get his timing down. But if the only way we are going to win is if Kirk puts up 50 a game, time to cut bait and get into suck for Watson mode.

Who is this Watson kid everyone is speaking of?

Of course, Shark! I mean coaches, too. I said, "heads" will roll. Plural. There is too much talent on this team for us to possibly looking a very probable 0-3 start.

I was actually thinking a LITTLE higher than just coaches actually.

Deshaun Watson QB for Clemson

The next great hype.

Thanks. I thought it might be that kid who plays for Louisville. All the college talking heads seemed to be losing their minds over his game yesterday.

IF we are drafting a QB next year, it also means we are starting with a new coaching staff.

And if that is the case, IM hoping a new GM as well.

Wow. 2 games and some are calling for a benching. First, I agree KCs play today was a significant contributing factor in the loss today. The INT was The death nail. He does look tentative and a bit indecisive, especially in the first half. But Colt McCoy is not the answer. We all know what colt can and can't do. He has a noodle arm and you can kiss any deep passes to djax if colt is behind center. We've also seen the upside on KC. The second half of last year showed us that.
He came out in the second half on fire. Moving the offense on a couple good drives. The red zone play calling was atrocious. How many fade pattern play are we going to try? When Doctson came in, everyone in the stadium knew what he was going to do. Clearly that play needs more practice. Shark is right, since we don't have a running game, our opponents need to only worry about the pass. We even telegraph it with 4 and 5 receivers lined up. When you are inside the 10 and send out 5 and they drop 7 into coverage, the short field just ain't big enough. It's very easy to cover everyone because the cramped space is full of bodies. What a great time for a QB draw.

Anyway, KC is our horse this year. He may be a lame ass horse, but he is all we seriously got. When he gets into rhythm, he gets sharp. But he loses his mechanics everytime the pocket collapses in the middle ( which, with licht and leveuo, that is too often). It's important that the play calling is designed for simple patterns early to give KC a chance to get into rhythm and build confidence.

I, for one, doesn't want him to be benched. I just want him to do better. He's not looking completely like himself and he actually has protection to make good throws. Protection is a QB's best friend, right? In all fairness, the season is long. I remember how KC was in the first-half of last year. Then, in the second-half. Still, we just cannot wait until the 2nd half for KC to have an uprising and lead this team to the playoffs. He needs to get it together. Also, since you mentioned the playcalling, coaches are to blame for this loss. I cannot understand why they kept throwing the fade to Josh Doctson. Sure! I hate that he was costed time in the preseason because of an injury. However, continuously experimenting in the game is not the business. Let's not forget how they decided not to put Josh Norman on the league's best WR, last week. This week, they decided to put Josh Norman on Dez, more. They Josh Norman following Dez for most of the 4th quarter. We saw the results. Dez had no catches against him. This all shows it can be done.

Oh! I forgot about our defense, too. It needs a total makeover. Many of those guys are backups on most teams. That sucks. We actually started the season with Kedric Gholston, as our starting NT. You've gotta be kidding me. Btw, the coaches need to get Su'a Cravens in the game, more. He came in and he was ballin'.

All this is not a failure of Coaching or players... Some one failed to bring in talent on the defense where we have been weakest for years.

Care to take a guess?

I'm not advocating for the firing of anyone just yet. But I will say this. Dad said something to the effect that Scotty Mac needs 4 drafts not 2 drafts to do what has to be done. I say, OK, but the next 2 drafts better be a damn sight better than the last 2 drafts.

Since this is the Redskins we're talking about far as hiring new coaches and maybe even a new GM. Inevitably that leads to the "Has Snyder stopped his meddling ways." "Can the Skins really get quality people to fill position X and/or Y?" questions.

IMO, I don't think so if Scotty Mac is fired after just 2 years. I'd lean OK far as thinking Gruden could be fired after 3 seasons and Barry should've never been hired in the first place. Firing SM after this year though is extremely risky imo. unless this team literally falls off a cliff, and that still might not make a difference.

Lets face it. Snyder being Snyder has put this team seriously behind the 8 ball. The questions are, are they still there? And If SM is fired, even if its for completely legit and valid reasons. Can the Skins find another GM from the ranks of the competent general manager pool? Or an up and comer ready and primed to make his mark?

Breed... count me among the very small group that questions our GM. As far as college talent, I think he is one of the best. But when it comes to free agents.... I have serious doubts. IF this team finishes where I expect them to, the GM is about 70% to blame as far as Im concerned. As I have said multiple times, the ability to run the ball and stop the run are whats going to kill us. And his two biggest calls were to NOT address the D-line, and to stick with Matt Jones as our feature back.

Yes! Scot totally dropped the ball on getting us some better talent on defense, especially in the draft. Of course, I exclude Su'a Cravens from that list. Let's break down the additions and holdovers. We got Ziggy Hood, who's a bust, journeyman and career backup, Kedric Gholston is a career backup, who has no business being our starting NT, Kendall Reyes has been just avearge. Will Compton and Mason Foster are ok. David Bruton, Jr. is primarily a ST's ace and career backup. The jury is still out on D-Hall being a safety. Ugh! Reyes is hurt, but the other's make up most of our defense. No wonder we look lost, against the run.

Oh! I forgot about Matt Jones. He looked decent, today, but he runs like a crash dummy. He won't last in the NFL. Still not sold on him, either. Not a franchise back. He is a back that needs to platoon with another back. That's all I've seen, since he's been on the team.

I couldn't agree any more with this post. As one of the less bullish members of this board with regard to Cousins - you're out of your mind if you think we bench him.

Dude... all I been seeing is.. Cousins is the PRIMARY reason we are 0-2, not the piss poor coaching. NOt the fact that the defense is giving up 32.5 points a game. Cousins... his fault and every one else is just the victim.

So fuck yes, bench him if he is that bad. Roll with Colt, and proceed to finish 3-13 any way. Then fire Gruden, McVey, Barry and start over. At 3-13 we likely secure the #1 pick. But our GM would likely take a WR any way.

Like I said... bench him then. IM agreeing with the majority, he has sucked and its mostly his fault we are 0-2, so if we are not going to tolerate him getting into a rhythm, we need to be done with him.

What? Literally all I was saying was that he shouldnt be benched at any point this year. Aren't I defending him there?
