@Darrell Green Fan

As this is a thread about a DLineman I'll just post this here. I watched the game, NYJ/Buff, tonight specifically to see how Williams would play. I gotta say, while it was talked about by the announcers the kinda game he had last week. He didn't impress me tonight.

Now it could very well be he's beat up/hurt and playing a 2nd NFL football game in 5 days is just fuckin stupid imo. Let me switch that up a bit cuz that's not what I met. The powers that be making it so 2 NFL football games are played within 5 days of each other is greedier than fuck.

Anyway, singling out KG hardly seems fair. Our entire DL is less than impressive imo.

And oh, what does BU mean?

Heh. OK. Seems like they have more than a few BUs starting for the Redskins defense.

Watching the second half now but I peaked at the stats and see 4 tackles and a forced fumbles. So in 2 games he has 10 tackles, 2.5 sacks and a forced fumble. That is a season for some of our guys.

Can't argue with that. And I missed the forced fumble. My bad. Counting the .5 sack as a full play in 2 games and grading somewhat harshly we can say he's made 4 impact plays with 2.5 sacks and a for fum. Or being a little more liberal go with 9 impact plays with 2.5 sacks 5 QB hits and a for fum.

Either way, its pretty impressive.

You are up and posting before 4:00 AM, too funny. I'm Facebook friends with Hyped, he was asking about you now that KFFL is officially gone.

Heh. Tell Hyped I said hey and hope all is good with him and his, Yeah, I don't do it like I used to, homey. My mom moved with me a while back and she couldn't handle my lifestyle and she'd get to talkin shit like I was living with her which peeved something serious. I decided though since I asked her to move in with me that I'd acquiescence. So the late night booty calls, staying up all night gettin high etc etc was seriously cut back.

I got a call from one of my knuckleheads this morning at about 1 am. After he convinced me everything was cool we got to chatting about this, that and the other and I looked up and it was almost 4 am. So we hung up and I decided to check the hoop and saw that had posted and the rest is as they say, history.,

KFFL is officially a memory eh. I resistant to change, not a big change in regular life either, but the hoop is way better than KFFL was with its accessories or do-dads or whatever their called. I do miss the KFFL crew at times.

Maybe a bit more info than the world needed to know but thanks for the update. :D Glad to see you have found a home here, I was worried it didn't take for you and you would disappear. MSkins and Rasta are meeting in London and going to the game together.

But that's his first FF in 18 games (17 as a starter) in the NFL, hasn't been involved in a turnover, 3.0 sacks last year. Meh. We'll see. We need a DT more, anyway.

Yeah, we probably do on the DT/NG. Stronger OLB play at the LOS would help as well. I don't know about Smith, but RK ran himself right out of more than a couple off tackle plays and the OT just had to ride with him. While Williams was hitting or close to top speed as he hit the LOS with nothing, but grass in his way.

I agree with most of this, but you are absolutely and totally off base when it comes to RK. How do I know? Well, last year when I pointed out this very thing about him I was told in no uncertain terms that I was farkin' crazy and didn't know what the hell I was talking about. Sorry man, if you or anyone else saw RK running himself out of off tackle plays, you simply can't believe your lying eyes!! (BTW: in Monday's game I saw it several times too) Fuck, I hate being wrong!!

I bow down to the greatness of your early warning detection skills. Maybe I didn't or wouldn't pay attention because I thought RK was hurt last year. As of right now though. I'm not sure if its part of the defensive scheme or if RK is freewheeling. If I had to guess though I'd say scheme. And maybe if he was getting multiple pressures or hurries or knockdowns along with a sack here and there. I'd find it, I dunno, acceptable. I can only recall a couple times that Ben seemed under pressure or hurried and one was strip sack RK got credit.Which turned out to be meaningless as Pitt scored a TD on that same drive. And when you factor in the chunks of yardage Williams was getting in part because RK was constantly speed rushing himself out of the play. The trade off isn't worth it.

There can be no mistaking the truth about some of the team favorites, especially on defense, now. We would all be hard pressed to name one guy on that side of the ball who is a difference maker. I'm not talking about potential, but actual. Norman could be, but no corner exposed by lack of pass rush is able to cover for extended time. This brings me back to RK (our subject) If he was injured, don't play him because when healthy he is a weak spot. Gotta explain before the hounds jump, so to be clear, RK is the type of player who needs support. By this I mean he is not a lead dog, but one who needs a much better player besides and on the other side of the LOS in order to take the opposition's attention and allow him to do his thing. When he is the number one guy, this is what we get. On your second point, if it is scheme, and he, by design speed rushes, doesn't he also have responsibilities related to the run? OK, but just for shits and giggles, let's say scheme dictates speed rushing as he is clearly doing....how long will it be before the opposition take note, and take advantage? Pittsburg did, dollars to donuts that Dallas is preparing for it as well. Nice dude by a lot of accounts, team player, but he is what he is, which brings me to my final point. It's a novel idea here even though most teams do it.....RK was a DL in school, what if we scrap the whole let's convert this guy or that one from this to that and actually draft or acquire players who have played particular positions throughout their careers instead?

Again DL take a year or so to develop. JJ Watt had like 4 sacks as a rookie, Jason Pierre Paul, Mario Williams and virtually every other DL had modest numbers as a rookie.
