How Oregon wins

Fly sweeps
Bombs to the fast wide receivers

I don't know enough about the Oregon Defense. The Oregon defense will not stop the Nebraska offense, but Tommy Armstrong will probably make a bonehead play or two. Tommy Armstrong is capable of playing spectacularly and also having playing like a horse's ass.

Nebraska has a good passing game, a good running game, and a pretty good kicker. Nebraska punting sucks. Nebraska punt returns are exceptionally boring unless Demornay Pierson El can find his freshman season fireworks.

How Nebraska wins

Stops those two Oregon plays, fly sweeps and bombs.
Pass Rush. Lots of it. Too bad Nebraska doesn't seem to have it.

I doubt Nebraska can cover Devon Allen on a fly route. Staying 20 yards back to stop the fly leaves the short routes open all day long.

Nebraska is pretty stout if you run up the middle, but if Oregon goes out on the edge with Freeman, then it could be Melvin Gordon all over again.

The good news, Prukop is not a running threat. But he can throw.

Nebraska will get points, but I do not think they will keep up with Oregon unless Nebraska can get in the backfield before Prokup hands to Freeman or gets to throw a pass.

If Nebraska can consistently pressure Prokup then it just might be a win for Nebraska.

I pick Oregon with a win by 10 or less.
Just because Prukop hasn't run much doesn't mean he cant. he ran for 946 yards in 14 and 797 in 15

Wish the media, polls and Vegas would stop picking us to win. :pound:

Hell the Oregon beat writer picked us. Feels like a set up.

Nebraskans Seeing Jet Sweeps Everywhere

“Normally, we’d chalk it up to a simple case of pareidolia”, Pretzel said, “But it seems to have gone much deeper than that.”

Pretzel cited a 2004 study done on Nebraskans in which a full 80% could identify the difference between a jet sweep, reverse, speed option, power option, inside zone and outside zone plays.

“Now they see any play going to the outside and it’s automatically a jet sweep. A speed option, even a simple reverse. The psyche of the state is indeed in peril.”

Clownzano is so desperate for clicks he will make some off the wall prediction like that to get the local fans fired up and clicking his articles and commenting on his articles to make himself look relevant still.

I LOVE the fact that everyone is picking Nebraska to win. Can anyone remember the last time Nebraska was favored in a big game and won?

This isn't really a "big game". A "big game" will be a top 10 Wisconsin later this year. A "big game" will be going to the shoe the week after.

LOL

serious?

This is a huge game. It's a ranked opponent coming into your house, and to top it off it is Mike Riley. You guys are coming off a 6-7 season. These are the type of game your fired PeLLLLini over.

You lose this game and its the same old Nebraska of the last 15 years. Mediocre at best.

And here we see what researchers would call "culturally different standards".

Has your Quack Attack announced which one of their 1,234 uni combo's they'll be wearing for the game?

you are right.

Oregon takes every game as a big game because we know you must win them all to get into the CFP, which is our goal.

Nebraska on the other hand is just looking to compete in the B1G and look respectable.
