Struggling with control but he seems to have issues with pitches not being called strikes on the left side of the plate. Can't tell on TV with the camera angle and no pitch tracker.

I think you've picked up on a very good point here.

Besides this guys seems such a primadonna with this uni thing. Not worth it. Appreciate the effort tho, JD

Frankly this is just another notch in the "Chris Sale prima-donna platform" to me.

He was the first and leader of "I'm pissed about Adam LaRoche" team too.

So between his attitude, his body structure, and pitching angle, I'm gonna say pass.

Why does that not surprise me. Seems our pitchers never meet or exceed the estimated time missed.

Hey, this guy has done a fine job for us this entire season.....Not without bumps, but overall, I wish every pitcher we've had and have had done as well as him.

Remember when people said Tony was allowing too many hits?

I've liked him from the start. JD and company did a great job bringing him back from Japan.

He made me nervous for a while but has done well and many times pitching more than an inning.

There's been many a post on here re: how much he's sucked though. Never quite got all that negative venom myself.

Here the deal. IMO the Rangers do have a budget which is understandable. I prefer us to keep Gallo and Profar although I just like him as a player.

I wished we got Abreu but understood the Prince pickup although now it was a bad move. Choo was an overpay but in FA alot is an overpay.

Now we have a decision to make re Desmond. I do think a blockbuster move is not in order. So it is a huge task in JD hands to balance this year va next without giving up potential starters for an Ace. A little rambling but food for thought

You need to sober up before attempting to say much more apparently. I think your head is what is doing the spinning. If you can't see the difference in signing someone to fill in our 4th spot in the rotation and us not being able to sign a Greinke then I can't help you.

Darvish is a FA after next season, and who knows when Hamels will start to decline? The fact is, if we did acquire Sale, the rotation wouldn't be Hamels/Darvish/Sale for very long. The prospects you speak of likely won't ever play a whole season behind Darvish with the exception of Mazara. So how are they going to have the benefit of Hamels and Darvish pitching for them as they win these championships you're predicting? Those future teams will need top of the rotation pitching, and frankly our farm looks pretty void of that. So, if we're not going to trade our prospects to acquire it, our only option is to acquire it in free agency. Now, how are we going to do that if elite starting pitchers don't want to sign in Texas as you say? Signing a bunch of #4's ain't gonna get it done to keep this team an annual contender. Maybe I mistook you not thinking your idea through for you flipping the script to suit your argument. My mistake.

It happens other places too. I've read people say "every time I watch him he gives up a run!" Sports fans are prone to receny bias. That's why facts are more important than feelings. And the facts say he's been a damn fine pitcher!

Very Jason Frasor-esque.
