I'm a big Kris Dunn fan, as I love his defensive potential and I don't think he needs to be as ball dominant as most people do, but if I'm Colangelo, I'm trying to figure out how to make D'Angelo Russell a Sixer, be it a 2 or 3 team trade with Okafor or Noel and another asset going out (Covington, 24, 26, absorbing a bad contract). There have been rumblings about LA maybe moving Russell, especially for a star level player like Butler or similar (hence the 3 teamer)

Russell
FA (Crabbe/Fournier)
Simmons
Okafor/Noel
Embiid

Now that's a team I can get excited about!

I would be on board with this lineup. I love D Russell. I watched him a lot at The Ohio State. I really was hoping that the Lakers wouldn't take him, but he was the obvious choice with their pick.

Chicago traded Rose, so Butler's not going anywhere now.

Jeremy Lin declined his player option in Charlotte ... wouldn't be a bad guy to run Point for us.

Murray, Dunn and Hield still there at 5 ... I'm expecting the Sixers on the phone with the next few pickers.

Oh well, it doesn't bode well for a trade, so we'll see what they do later on.

Malachi Richardson, Wade Baldwin, Demetrius Jackson, DeAndre Bembry, Malik Beasley are the 5 guys left I really like as we approach our picks ...

Timothe Luwawu is not a bad pick at all ... not the shooter I would like, but a nice 2 way player at the 3. Still hoping for Jackson with our 3rd 1st rounder.

A bit surprised the Sixers didn't pull off a trade for one of our bigs ... but it should be a very strong draft next season and I still think they are likely to move Noel prior to the season for a 1st in 2017. Just way too many bodies down low especially if Saric comes over which sounds pretty likely. Free agency has to be all about the Guard position. The Frenchman has a good deal of potential ... especially on the Defensive side with very long arms, but his offensive game needs some work. He does have really nice height and length to play either the 2 or the 3 and the kid can play above the rim; I don't expect much of an impact from him this upcoming season though ... more of a stash pick. The Turk is the player who can drill it from the outside, but he wasn't given much playing time this past season ... likely 2-3 years away from really contributing.

The Sixers had a great draft. The international guys they got at 24 and 26 were major steals. I wanted Ingram over Simmons, but they did very well to add some promising wing prospects later in the first round. And I love that they didn't panic and trade Noel or Okafor for peanuts. This is a franchise finally moving in a positive direction!

Simmons is clearly the best player n the Draft. I believe that they will deal a big, most likely Okafor, when they get a good deal, and not before. I think Ainge wanted to steal him, as usual. As said above, nest year's draft is loaded, and we have 3 1st's, I believe. Clearly, Dunn is not happy. He thought just like us, that he would be a Sixer. Who knows what might happen when all is said and "Dunn". ;)

Ainge is an idiot for not having taken the Sixers trade ... passed up Noel, Covington and 2 1sts to reach for an athletic Wing whom should have gone 4 or 5 picks later.

Question

What does Saric play like? Is he a shooter? A ball handler? Where does he fit?

i think he's supposed to be a shooter. His % is high, but from the little i've seen he's not taking a lot of shots either.

Supposedly, he is a very athletic PF/SF, and can do a lot with the ball, ala Ben Simmons. I think when we get him, and they make another trade or two, we'l be very good, and hopefully grow into a serious playoff competitor in a couple ears as they grow together. Could be a lot of fun watching them grow together.

Actually, I'm excited about the near future of all 4 teams in Philly.

Saric - think Lamar Odom, point forward offensive swiss army knife. Average NBA athlete like Odom. Average D, good rebounder. Has become a lot better shooter since we drafted him.

Saric is an "average athlete" ... he's likely not a guy who will be an all star, but he does provide plenty of positives. He's a very smart player who understands leverage and positioning ... because of this along with being 6'10' he can be a very good rebounder. He also has a very nice pick and pop shot which was under used overseas. I can see he and Simmons using this as a nice size advantage at the NBA level ... while not a "great" shooter yet, Saric has range and very good shooting form. The best thing about Saric is pure skill ... he's a guy who uses fakes, dips, hooks and anything else he can throw at you to get the ball in the bucket or find the open guy (very good passer for a big). Someone said swiss army knife and I think that's right on point. He can be a buy who averages 12 ppg 8 rebs 4 assts and play solid D.

Possibly another version of Tony Kukoc?
