I'll never forget the roar of the Wild crowd in game 4 of the 2007 Western Conference quarterfinals when after some rough stuff from the Ducks, Lemaire lets Boogaard out on the ice for a powerplay with 2 minutes to play in the game. The roof was blown off the building.

in a way reminds me of when pyatts fiance was killed a few years ago, i just get that same gut wrenching feeling. prayers for the family, and of course derek himself.

To be honest.... My first thoughts when someone so young passes...and I would say they would be obvious.....rare heart condition, drugs and, God forbid, suicide...

One of the few Pens games I was able to attend last season, 2010, was Wild at Pens.... I watched him every time he hit the ice... very entertaining player to watch...sad news, terrible news...

I was going to name my boy James (after my dad) but we are having a girl. I haven't heard that song in years. It's good to pull it out if the brain archives.
