well guys in a bubble this looks like a great signing but what about the d/line ? we better score a ton of points![]()
If you look really close at the screen.... you will see the middle finger right about now.![]()
sorry shark the devil made me do it
OH I know.. .nothing but love for ya.
But I do agree, we better score a shit ton of points.
I do like the fact that we extended Reed. Now if we can just get Cousins done... we might be onto something.
Interesting in deed. I imagine with his history of injury some easy outs will be included.. although that is the nature of the game.
Yea, gotta pay your star players... and apparently, other teams stars. KC is licking his chops. You're next braugh.
Good deal for the team, but he outta fire his agent!
That's what I thought when I first saw/heard the deal. Yet and and Jimmy Graham are tops among TEs in per year salary. Damn, NFL players need better representation like yesterday.
That doesn't really matter though. What matters is A) Reed staying healthy B) using Reed to his maximum ability. No way he should only be averaging 10 or 11 yards per catch. He should be up in the 14 or 15 yard range.

YPC is highly overrated. You have to get the short ones to bring the defense up for DJ to get deep.
Almost totally agree....the system designed for the deliverer might be the best explanation as to why that YPC is only 10 or 11 yards.
Any stat can be overrated. That's not the point. The point should be getting the maximum efficiency you can from a player. 3 years in the league and Reed's longest play of his career is 38 yards and his career YPA is 10.53. I think Reed can be and should be used more effectively than that. I'd also say by those numbers posted above, both Reed and the Redskins have the short ones down pretty good.
He could be used even more effectively. He has the skill-set to be a much more productive downfield target. And that doesn't have to come at the expense of his short yardage effectiveness.
Guys KC is still a work in progress. In the next few years maybe he hits those more often and Reeds Numbers. Go up
Look at KC 's number s last year. He did some things right and in fact a lot of things right
Reed will benefit
SoCalWizFan said:Assuming health that should come for a variety of reasons to include 1. continued development of Reed & Cousins 2. better protection 3. additional talent at the WR & RB position & 4. improvement in coaching as they adapt to these weapons. Davis could also be an asset in this area. Again - health is the main issue - no way to predict that.
Yeah, it wasn't my intent to criticize Cuz and he did indeed do a lot of things right.
How's it go...the best ability is availability...and if Reed is available things should shape up nicely for the various reasons you listed. It doesn't necessarily have to be Reed though either. Agree about Davis if he still has his speed and I think JC displayed the ability to get
