That said, I could easily see Lewis going to the pen (though neither he or I would like it) or I could see Perez being sent to AAA (more likely imo) to stay ready for when we need him, which we will.

I like the idea of him playing 3B long term, but CF for one year while Adrian plays 3B in 2017 would be fine with me.

I bet Brinson moves to AAA by the ASB and if he shows his bat is ready he gets the CF job in 2017. DDJ may hold it down for a month or two in 2017 if they want to see a little more.

I haven't heard anything more about Brinson's shoulder. I hope it doesn't turn into a Profar type injury.

Evan thinks if everyone in the rotation stays healthy that Holland or Perez would go to the pen if Griffin doesn't go back to the minors. He is completely ruling out the possibility that Colby is an odd man out. if Colby has a couple of his clunkers between now and then I don't think that possibility should be discounted. I think they would send Perez to the minors before they mess with him by sending him to the pen. There is no way that anyone other than Evan would think Derek is going to the pen.

I think it would be Perez but I would rather he go to AAA and keep pitching as a starter because we will need him again.

What happens if every starting pitcher we have is pitching head and shoulders better than Colby? Do we keep the lesser pitcher in the rotation just to hang on to all 6 of the starters or do we go with the best 5 pitchers in the rotation and put Colby in the pen as the long man. It may come down to how well Perez and Griffin are pitching compared to Colby.
