This just supports my point that the Skins don't like Murphy at OLB. I would be shocked if they moved Smith after the year he just had. Where is gk? lol

I am here. It changes nothing with regard to what I have said. All I have ever said is he is more valuable than a third round pick. I have always maintained he is our third OLB and is more suited to back up RK. Your problem is you don't understand the English language and like to make up your own things.

lol. oh cmon gk. If he doesn't move to DE Murphy is our 4th olb and special teams player. that is exactly what I said and you denied it. So a 4th olb/special teams player is more valuable than a 3rd round pick? in this draft? What?

Let's count...I have always said PS is better and RK is obviously better. With JG now signed, that makes him number four and I have never disputed that. What you don't seem to understand is the average third rounder is nothing more than a backup and STs player.

Now that JG is officially signed, I would not be against trading TM for a third.

Let me chime in and say.... hell yes a 4th OLB and special teams player is more valuable than a 3rd round rookie that will need to come in and learn his position. Unless you seriously think we will roll into the season with only 3 OLBs. This its the problem when people say things like, well we could trade this guy over here for a pick. The pick becomes rather limited if you just created a hole in order to get the pick.

Now is resigning Gallette made Murphy the 5th or 6th OLB on the depth chart, well yes I would take a 3rd round pick for some one that low on the depth chart. but 4th on the chart where you have two starters really aint all that low on the chart at all.

You must be a politician gk. At the time we were arguing JG was 90% coming back and you still viewed TM as a developing player. Plus why the hell were we at Noah Spence's pro day if the skins valued TM? You can't predict what future third rounder's could become. This is a deep draft, it could be a great player. Great player do come from the 3rd round.

When PS was drafted and JG was signed in the offseason before his injury that was a huge wake up call for TM. You disagreed and you said that had nothing to do with it and TM still had to be developed and was still a big part of the defense. This rumor just supports that The skins don't view TM as part of this defense unless he switches positions. Which was my point all along.

Shark no GM in the NFL would turn down a 3rd round pick for the #4 OLB on a 3-4 defense. Draft picks are like gold now b/c FA has become way too expensive. TM is the #4 OLB on the roster right now. So Shark you are saying SM would turn down a 3rd round pick for TM right now?? What!!!!

You are still trying to justify your position that taking him was a mistake. But again I ask you, if we trade him who takes his spot as the 4th OLB?? Or do you honestly think we will only carry three on the roster? You have basically said FA is too expensive. So we create a hole ( as we WILL need more than 3 OLBs through out the season), we get an extra 3rd rounder. Hooray. Now what do we do with said named draft pick, and who do we have as a 4th OLB with starting experience that isnt trying to learn our defense? More to the point, would we get a BETTER player with that 3rd round pick than the guy we are giving up?

Who the hell cares who takes his spot as the 4th OLb. We can always find guys like Jeffcoat like we did last year that wont be expensive. I know we carry 4 or even 5 olbs on the roster. You cant predict what will happen with that 3rd round pick. Anything can happen.

90% according to you and we don't have access to his medical condition. TM is going into year three...he is by definition developing and many players have made jumps going into year 3. We are at Noah Spence's pro day because we believe in BPA, even though you refuse to accept that. Of course you can't predict what a third rounder can become but you can look at history to make a projection. Great players can come from the third but you have a better chance of that player not receiving a second contract with the drafting team.

Again, you are making claims you don't know. They signed JG because they saw a bargain at strengthened the team. They drafted PS because he was BPA. Your point all along has been self serving and you want to be right.

Which is exactly why you DONT give up a guy who we know fits in our system for a completely unknown. You are right, anything can happen. We could draft the next Jordan Reed type player in the 3rd. Or we could totally wiff out.

And let me ask you, say Gallette gets injured in camp, and through some freak pizza oven accident Kerrigan has to miss half the season..... you really want to rely on Smith and some fill in as our starters.... just so you can have an extra draft pick??

Shark you can say that about any 3-4 team who would lose their top 2 OLB's. GK if Murphy flashed in his rookie year like PS did last year no way PS would have been drafted. Just my opinion. I know players make huge jumps going into year 3 but with the current roster moves it doesn't bode well for TM. Plus if we draft Spence at #21 what does that say about Murphy's future? I just don't think TM is in the Redskins future plans you guys do. I thought he was taken way too high in the draft and he didn't prove anything in the NFL to disagree with my statement.

Plus why did SM take a chance on a head case guy like JG if he wanted TM to improve and thought he had a future with the team?

So PS flashed last season , we have JG and RK...so why were we at Spence's pro day? Game...set...match...

Where did we ever say TM is in the future plans as of today?

So NOW we find the real meat on the bone that you are chasing. If we have Kerrigan, Gallette, Smith and Murphjy... there is no NEED to draft Spence. So if we do take him it would mean he was the best payer on our draft board. BUt if we are only sporting 3 OLB's well now that might create a need in which case we might take Spence even if we had say a DL rated a little higher.

Here's a question I have on Galette: how much better, if at all, is Olivier Vernon than a healthy Galette?

Given the cost of each, Galette is miles away the better deal. Think Vernon had 7 sacks last year and truly only beasted down the stretch.
