Ben Jones- 4.375 mil/season with minimal guaranteed. If he is so great, why didn't he get more from any other team? Believe it or not, we do not have the worst center in football.

Jaye Howard- I am a fan and think he is definitely worth 5 mil/ season. He resigned with his original team though and it was only two years. There is no telling what it would have cost to sign him away. The fact that it is only two years makes it sound like he is going to up his value over the next two years and he is betting on himself. It is safe to say, if you want to sign him away, it would have cost well more than 5 mil/season and guaranteed much more than the 9 mil KC gave.

Akiem Hicks- what makes him worth 5 mil/season? He has done very little and couldn't find a starting gig last season.

Jerrell Freeman- 4 mil/season for a 29 year old is a bit much. His first year is guaranteed and the cap hit is 6 mil...not worth it.

Hayward- Can't say I fully understand how a guy that has never been a full time starter is worth that money. He may be but he isn't an upgrade over what is currently on the roster and definitely isn't our 1 or 2 CB had we signed him.


I am also not sure if you think we could have or would have signed all of them. We could not afford them all.

Yup, I'm not the GM but those were good team friendly deals for sure. SM knows more than I do but that is what I wanted to see happen.

That's a big part of being a fan for a lot of people is playing amateur GM.
