Redskins re-signed OLB Junior Galette to a one-year contract.

It's worth "up to" $4 million. Galette was never really leaving, as the Redskins had the right to match any offer. He didn't receive any after missing all of last season with a torn Achilles'. If healthy, Galette can provide a big spark opposite Ryan Kerrigan. He'll turn 28 later this month, but was one of the more dominant pass rushers from 2013-2014 in New Orleans with 22 sacks.

Yep. That's the goal.

Galette gave two interviews on 980 yesterday. According to him, the Achilles he tore is actually stronger and that he's now 80% to 85% recovered from the injury. The deal he ultimately signed with us has a max value of $4.1M, but is laden with incentives. One of those incentives is a $1M payout if he reaches 15 sacks. According to Junior, he had other suitors, but the right-of-first refusal in the deal he signed last year drove other teams away from signing him now. Thanks, Scotty.
