Plus he has struggled as a pocket passer. Accuracy, reads and presence. When teams forced him to throw from the pocket he had problems. He definitely is more athletic than Oz and most other NFL qbs. So is Tebow. :)

I think the whole pocket passer thing is a bit overrated. Hear me out on this. We are moving to an NFL where athleticism in the QB position is becoming more prevalent. Teams are figuring out how to move these guys out of the pocket and let them make plays. Look at Seattle with Wilson in he spends a great deal of time outside the pocket. When you throw in the zone running stretch plays force teams to have to move sideways making it hard to keep a guy in the pocket.

Yes and no. Look at Cam. He did most of his damage with his legs from the pocket not rolling out. Right up the gut. Cam was pretty accurate this year from pocket when he had time. SB was different story. Russell Wilson is not a good comparison to Kap because he has proven he can beat you both ways. Kap has not. You can compare Kap to RG3 all day long though. That works.:)

One of the things most predictive of Osweiler's eventual success is that the players love him - which invest them in his success.

I had not heard that story on Latimer, but Manning pretty much treated him as invisible on the field. Maybe he didn't think Latimer treated the game with enough respect. Latimer does play hard -and he does the dirty work on special teams and blocks as a WR.

He's nothing without Harbaugh. Someone will give SF a 5th for him, let him come in and compete. But he's no ones hand picked starter.

I actually saw a huge change in attitude for Latimer this year. I think he was humbled by the fact that his talent alone wasn't getting him on the field. He did seem to put in more work and from some things I have read online he has taken a lot more pride in his job. Also go read some of the stories of this friendship he formed with this kid in the hospital. Seems like it really changed his attitude on life just seeing this kid fight for his life and ability to walk. Right after that seemed to be when we saw him making plays on special teams and even making a few big catches.

To play WR with Manning you got to be were he expects you to be if you are not he will ignore you .my guess he has a hard time learning O's and will be much better off next year .,

I like the extra value we got from Manning the talent scout. Could this young Taylor be Denver's next star player?

Yep, Peyton may be able to add Sunshine to the scouting list that already included Brandon Marshal. Well done, Sheriff!

For this upcoming draft, I don't like the idea of drafting a WR anywhere near the first 4 or 5 rounds as I think the Bronco have a lot of untapped talent there in Fowler, Latimer and Jordan Taylor ... I'd also love to see Norwood return ( to the team and punts ;)

I would like to see Rod Smith work with Fowler !!

I also would like to see Fowler return punts .. I think Norwood's Knee was why we were not seeing more of him earlier on ..

I hope the Broncos Bring in Rod Smith as a WR Coach .

I would say it was more training camp than the actual games. It seemed like everyday the reports that would come out had this kid making some kind of crazy catch. When I went to training camp he had probably one of his worst days with a couple of drops but he still managed to make a couple of circus catches. He has incredible body control for a guy of his size and is one of those guys that fights for the ball. I would love to see him make the roster this next year and be that red zone threat that we have been missing since Julius Thomas left town.

2:47am NJ time right now ... bed time

I hope that by the time I put the computer on at work, around lunch time, this thread is relevant again

John Elway has always been one to make a splash .. In the wake of Osweiler's departure, what better way to take back the headlines . . .

Going into his senior year at Pitman, Kaepernick met with counselor Philip Sanchez, who told him that his course load and 4.3 weighted GPA easily met all of the NCAA requirements. So why not go easy, Sanchez suggested as they looked at an open slot on his schedule? Protect that perfect “A” record, and take a free period or work as a teacher’s aide. It’s what seniors do. “He said ‘I don’t want a free period. What else is there?’” Sanchez said. “And there was a psychology class, so he took that.’’

I hope if Kaepernick gets traded he ends up in Denver because it would be the best situation for him. He would have a good defense and running game to back him up. He also needs good pass blocking in front of him. Kaep has a slow release and doesn't process things quickly so a good line upfront to give him time. The 49er oline went from one of the best a few years ago to one of the worst and it isn't a coincidence Kap's play went down with it. And people who say it was the loss of Harbaugh are wrong. His play was regressing under Harbaugh and Harbaugh's QB coach was our coordinator last year. I think Harbaugh was overrated as a QB whisperer.

Joe theisman was on this morning and he talked about Cam and how he was terrible from the pocket this past season. Thats why Denvers gameplan was what it was and why it succeeded. Just throwing that out there.
