I used to work in a small grocery store where there were less than 50 employees. I was one of 4 Scotts working there at one point. My fellow employees took to calling me Hutch, short for my last name.

When I was in college my dorm floor (12 men) had 4 of them with the name Jacob. We actually had one named Jake Stark and one named Jake Starkey. So even using last names wasn't quite an option. I think every one of us had a nickname that year even if you weren't named Jake.
