And @Cedrique if you make a Viagra joke involving my mom I will release all of the '02 Christmas party pictures involving you and Todd. So don't even think about it!

Very interesting, Cedrique. Rose broke Cobb's record on Sept. 8, 1985 off Eric Show. Show was found dead in his room at a drug and alcohol rehab center in 1994. I guess he never got over it. I should have made that a trivia question.
Maybe that's why Nolan was trying so hard not to let Pete get that last hit. Now I have to look up who Pete got the hit off of to break Musial's record to make sure he's still alive

Did you grow up in the city?
No, I moved a few times but I lived close by in PA and NJ so I was close enough to go to some games. But you can imagine as a little kid (or even an adult for that matter), seeing them win the WS in 80 then have them go on strike in the middle of the next season really sucked.

  • Should be a HOFer, but I don't know if he gets in
  • Regarded as one of the greatest defensive outfielders of all time
  • In 1996 he became the youngest player to hit a home run in the World Series
  • Hit his 300th career home run off Phillie great Geoff Geary
  • Second lowest batting average, OBP, SLG, and runs scored in a season for a player who hit 50 or more home runs in that season (the lowest is Jose Bautista)

I was a little farther north around Clementon for a while. That's the great thing about the Philly sports complex- it's right there on 95 so people can get there within an hour from all those different suburbs. That's why they need to speed this rebuild up. Theres millions of casual fans all around that will buy tickets when they get good again

You're right. I think the Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington metropolitan area is like the second or third biggest in the US

They're sixth. For some reason they're including Northeast Maryland into the consensus. That's really gay

Livan Hernandez?
nope, this guy was a little before that
Wasn't on that many good teams, but he went to the postseason 3 times, at ages 32, 38 and 40

This guy also had a brother in the majors, and I think they were even on the same team at one time

This guy was kind of underrated. Probably somewhere in between Joe Niekro and Phil Niekro
