Maybe that's why Nolan was trying so hard not to let Pete get that last hit. Now I have to look up who Pete got the hit off of to break Musial's record to make sure he's still aliveVery interesting, Cedrique. Rose broke Cobb's record on Sept. 8, 1985 off Eric Show. Show was found dead in his room at a drug and alcohol rehab center in 1994. I guess he never got over it. I should have made that a trivia question.
No, I moved a few times but I lived close by in PA and NJ so I was close enough to go to some games. But you can imagine as a little kid (or even an adult for that matter), seeing them win the WS in 80 then have them go on strike in the middle of the next season really sucked.Did you grow up in the city?
My family's from Jersey. Gibbstown in Gloucester CountyNo, I moved a few times but I lived close by in PA and NJ so I was close enough to go to some games. I was a little farther north around Clementon for a while. That's the great thing about the Philly sports complex- it's right there on 95 so people can get there within an hour from all those different suburbs. That's why they need to speed this rebuild up. Theres millions of casual fans all around that will buy tickets when they get good againMy family's from Jersey. Gibbstown in Gloucester County
Correct- and double points for spelling his name right!Andruw Jones!
You're right. I think the Philadelphia-Camden-Wilmington metropolitan area is like the second or third biggest in the USI was a little farther north around Clementon for a while.
