QB: My only fear was that Kirk was going to wet the bed last week and have a three interception performance. He didn't. It appears he has truly turned the corner. McCoy is okay, but that offense looked really bad with him in there vs. Dallas, save for that blown coverage that allowed Ross to score. I have concernes, but am willing to go into next year with these two.

RB: Looks like Morris is gone. I would like to see them get a Lamar Miller, or even Dunbar, but we will need a back that is a mixture of what Jones and Thompson bring to the table. Maybe a 3rd rounder or Miller.

FB: I bring Young back. Good in the locker room and solid on ST.

C: Maybe Martin in the 2nd, or a guy in the 3rd to groom behind Lich or Wisniewski. Wisniewski is still young, and much bigger than Lich. Probably won't cost too much either. Something has to be done here.

G: I want Osemele. He is my #1 FA target. I would let Lauvao walk. He had multiple surgeries while out, and Long got blown up too many times for my liking. If this offense, with these weapons on the outside, had a running game, it could really be dynamic.

T: Williams, Moses, Nsekhe, and Compton. Done

TE: Reed, Paul, Carrier. Done

WR: Keep Jax, and Garcon. You have a young QB who is really starting to get in sync with these guys after not being able to work with them all through camp. Don't screw with that. Crowder set a rookie record for the Redskins, so I am not sure if I am ready to make him a 4th receiver. Bringing in a big FA, or a 1st pick, like the kid from Ohio ST (Mike Thomas) might stunt his growth. I'd rather take a look at a guy like Andre Holmes (6'4) from Oakland or someone in that price range with his size. I must admit, if Thomas is there he would be temping, ecspecially if other defensive and offensive line problems have been resolved in free agency.

I have similar thoughts to you. Free agency for RBs is deep...crazy deep. I don't sweat the position at all.

I just don't know if Young has a position on the team. He is an UFA and would probably like a bigger role. I can't see bringing him back at what his role would be worth.

Would really like Wisniewski to come here for about 3 mil/ season. I'm not sure what his price will be. Last year it was 2.5 mil on a one year deal and I can't imagine he did much to cause a huge increase.

I don't see Osemele as a huge upgrade to Lauvao and I see him as a cost increase. Osemele is a big boy but our running game suffered the moment Lauvao was injured. It is an interesting correlation. Also, remember Long will only be going into year three next season and we have Kujo. I think we would be wiser to spend that money elsewhere.

I basically agree with the TE call but if there is draft value, I would jump. There are some very interesting prospects.

I hear you GK on Lauvao. We did look good when he was in there, but the sample size was much smaller that what I saw in 14 and that wasn't good. Different ol coach, so maybe. The injuries is what concerns me. Foot injuries can really linger. If we can look the way we looked in week 1 and 2, I'd be more than happy to spend that money on a CB, or DE.

kbso, why would we overpay in Fa for an OG? Doesn't make sense to me. You guys forget that we have Kojo a 4th round pick this year waiting the wings plus Long and Lavou. Do not need to draft or sign a OG this offseason. Much more pressing needs. The only two positions that will be addressed on offense via the draft or FA is Center and RB. Center is self explanatory. RB we all know Morris is going to be gone so we need to get a back. Lamar Miller would be great but I think his price is going to be way too high. He is a do everything type of back.

#1 FA on our board should be Alex Mack from Cleveland. He is going to be pricey but I think he is well worth it and would solidify our oline.

We couldn't get a yard when we absolutely had to vs. Green Bay. There was no running game to speak of. I am not impressed with any of the guys you mentioned. Part of the reason Scherff got moved to G was because Long was so bad in camp, along with Moses' emergence. Gotta give Callahan the horses.

Mack is a pro bowl center we do not pass on mack. kbso Scherff was moved to guard b/c he failed at RT. Moses was just better. Plus Scherff fell on that running play for that 1 yard TD according to Espn. Kojo could be our starting LG guard this year. He is a 4th round pick.

HOw do we convince the top free agent center on the market to come in here for less than half what the average starter at his position i making per season?? The top ten centers in the league are making between $6.2 and $8.9 million a year. Yes the next tier below them drops down to around $3.5 million a year average. BUt I think its a serious stretch to think Wizkid is going to come in at anything less than $5 million a year.

Keeping Lich and drafting one is what I think they will eventually do.

Agreed. IM just glad that we are not going into the off season asking the questions

1. Do we need a QB
2. Do we think our current QB can stay healthy.
3. Should we draft a QB, or sign some one elses free agent.

It wouldnt shoick me to see us go after Wizkid... but I think he is going to cost $5 million a year or more.

Don't want to jinx it, but it does look like we have a quarterback. Reports were that people found Kirk asleep on the floor in the film room during the Packers week. You need your qb to be a grinder. The great one's usually are.

IF he passed out watching Film its a good thing. If he was in there with a pillow and all the lights were off to begin with... I might worry.

Contracts - Over the Cap

Is he top ten? There was a huge drop off on contracts after number ten. He played last year on a one year contract worth 2.5 million. Did he play well enough to warrant twice that? I am fine with bringing Lich back and drafting one but we would be foolish to not window shop.

I would say check with the fan bases of teams that need a center right now. Wizkid is likely at the top of the list. And more to the point, he will look at what the top ten are making and THAT will be his agents starting point for a new long term contract.

yes we do because of the contract he would want and his age it all goes down hill from there . we need to learn from our past mistakes
