I think he will play significant snaps before the season is done.

I think the chances of Osweiler taking all the snaps through the Super Bowl at less than 50/50. Manning is getting healthy, if he has to replace Oz for injury reasons - he will be healthy - he will have premium experience with all the play makers - there will be a favorable emotional surge in the stands and with the Broncos if he comes in to pull one out or play out a game. On top this - the Broncos will likely be playing his offense - because that is the offense Oz excels at too. I think there is a good chance there is a last Hurrah opportunity for Manning - making this a legendary season for multiple reasons.

Given Osweiler's growing injuries, I do think that your scenario is gaining some steam. However if Oz holds up injury-wise, I really don't see Manning taking another snap for the Broncos. I would love for Manning to get some semblance of a "farewell tour" but unfortunately I don't think it's going to happen. Sad, really.

Whether or not Manning plays for the Broncos again this season, I think that barring injury to Oz, that's not happening ...

I do not believe Manning was "injured" and his medical issues have been, at best, blown all out of proportion ( if not fabricated ) .. A face saving way to a way to get him off the field ... If memory serves, some of us even stated that because of Oz' s contract situation and Manning's inconsistencies on the field, Manning will suffer a mysterious injury ..

Manning is a media darling, and generates a lot of money for the NFL and all his endorsements .. To see him go out the way he did vs KC would be understandable if he was playing with all kinds of injuries - foot, ribs, etc etc ...

I don't buy it

In a world of everything "scripted" yet intended to be believable/entertaining??, to so many gullible and "simple" people, nothing would surprise me regarding Manning and all that`s transpired to date and in past. I`am sure the "final" episode is waiting in the wings ready to be sprung on us all with as many twist and turns that can possibly be conjured up so they can make the story all the more sensational and appealing to those who crave that shit!! :)

Unless Osweiler just gets too injured to play football anymore, Manning won't take another snap for the Broncos. Sad, but that's how it goes.

Doesn't Manning still lead league in ints? I think he could set another record if he keeps that stat after wk 17 and never throws another pass and still missed half a season. Well, it is record, right? He loves those. Seriously though, I hope something goes right for him if this is it for him. Who knows, he could come in for Oz for whatever reason and guide Denver to the promised land and ride into the sunset with a remarkable exclamation mark on an already HOF career also! :)

Tebow got his storybook ending in the Steeler's playoff game - he just didn't know when to quit.

Then let's bring Tebow back as he deserves it more

;)

You know my stance .. I still want him back !! I think he brings to a team bravado same as Sharp and Romo brought to a team !

If I was a Coach I would use him as a do all on the team . I would have him on the D and I would line him up as TE/FB/QB ... I would have him as a QB 20% of the game and I would expect 50% throws 50% runs . I would not let him sit on the bench I would use him as a MLB and as a 3 MLB in Running situations ... I don't get the NFL on tebow he is a stud use him !

I would use him on ST also ..

I would keep him on the field both ways quite a bit .. I would want 50 plays at least

Here's a WHAT IF scenario,

If Manning is "healthy" and Denver gets to the AFCC game in NE, is there any way that Kubiak can play Brock and lose the game with a "healthy" Manning sitting the bench?

Each year is unique and with a Super Bowl appearance on the line. I think you need to go with Manning for one game in NE.

Can you be the coach that loses the AFCC game in NE with a "healthy" Manning sitting on the bench?

I think Kube can be that coach if he and Elway are in agreement going into the game but if Kubiak wants to go with Brock and Elway wanted Manning. Oh boy

It may be a lose lose.

In your scenario - you still start Brock - as Manning will likely be rusty.

Peyton has to have been legitimately injured to some extent. You guys really think they'd pay him all that money to sit on the bench unless he really had to? Sure, Oz has played better...but IF Peyton was injured and is now fully healthy (no idea if he truly is)...wow. He's easily the best backup in the league though.

I will give Kubiak this

When Manning exited or was benched, Denver was in 3rd place. Now they are in 2nd and a chance for #1

This is an undeniably fun season. I would have taken a full season of Manning with the wheels off -- truth be told.
