Vikings-Packers NFC North title bout flexed to 'SNF'
9

  • Minnesota Vikings on 'Sunday Night Football.'

The Vikings will travel to play the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field next Sunday with the NFC North title on the line. The game has been flexed by the league from 1:00 p.m. ET to the 8:30 p.m. ET 'SNF' slot on NBC. The winner of the 'SNF' game will earn a home playoff game as the No. 3 seed in the NFC.

Two games have also been moved from 1:00 p.m. ET to 4:25 p.m. ET: Oakland Raiders at Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Carolina Panthers. If the Panthers beat the Bucs, then Carolina will clinch home-field advantage in the NFC, regardless of the result of the Seahawks-Cardinals game, also being played at 4:25 p.m. ET. If the Cardinals win and the Panthers lose, then Arizona will secure home-field advantage.

Rather face the Sea Hawks and at least try and get that Monkey off our backs. Not to mention the Sea Hawks are not the same squad with out Beast Mode who if they are lucky they will get back for the playoffs.

They have been better without Lynch. I would much rather face the Vikes.

again a total misunderstanding of the point . it had nothing to do with status quo or any other thing like that . it had everything to do with keeping things in perspective and not wanting to jump off a cliff if we failed . it turns out we are champs and that is a good thing . we are growing but we still have a ways to go to be perennial contenders which should be the main goal

so i dont advocate running away from a seatle or GB or the cards or vikes because it is a gauge. . we can see how we stack up ( which could be good ) or it can show what we need to work on . all good things

I have things in perspective. Its just a different perspective than your perspective. Was I upset the Skins lost to Dallas? Yeah, particularly as multiple plays were there to be made and only making a couple or even making one earlier in the game could've won the game or went a very significant ways to winning it. I didn't jump off a cliff or go Country Roads. I just got the impression from you and others as if you expected the Skins to lose. I didn't. After the Carolina game in fact I thought it was reasonable to expect the Skins to not lose another game for the rest of the year. Though I'll say, 4-1 thus far isn't bad, not bad at all.

Far as being NFC East champs, yeah, its cool for now. But if the Skins fall back off into being a 3rd or 4th NFC east team next year then it won't mean shit. Barring a major injury/injuries to a key player/players. The Skins need to build upon this come next year. Not fall into oblivion and shambles like they've done the previous 3 years that they made the playoffs.

Wow, breed. That's a huge leap.

Yeah that is doing a lot of reading opinion into things I don't think anyone was saying.

Was it realistic to think or believe the Skins could lose to Dallas in game one or Philly last Saturday? Of course it was. Some of y'all though made it sound so realistic that it ventured from the realm of being realistic to the realm of being inevitable. I wasn't with that. After Carolina I didn't see a reason why the Skins couldn't go 6-0 to close out the year.

Like I said you took our words and applied your opinion of what we said to it. I am find speaking for myself, but thanks for the help. I don't see any need to rehash this for the 3583953535 time. Others here have expressed that you clearly misunderstood what they were saying but for some reason you are having a hard time letting it go.

I totally agree that we are playing with house money. But there is nothing wrong with wanting to play a team who really hasn't done anything yet either (Minnesota) over the team who has played in the last 2 Super Bowls.

I gots no problem rooting against the Hawks, been doing it for years. I really don't get this macho "to be the best you gotta beat the best" mentality. That's like rooting for a 2nd round matchup with Kentucky instead of Weber State in the NCAA Tourney. I'm for the matchup that gives us the best chance to advance. And that would be either the Vikes or GB.

If one playoff game is great experience for the team and their young QB two games would be even better.

A simple statement "to be the best, you have to beat the best." I don't know where that says I'd rather not play Seattle. It means beat the team you have to go against. If you do that for long enough. YOU WIN!! If says you have to beat the team in front of you. Why worry who that is? I swear I have had GFs who don't read so much into what I say. :trash:

Your post, as well as a few others, clearly implies that you don't agree with my thoughts that I would rather avoid the Hawks. If people continue to misunderstand your points maybe you aren't being clear. Like the post above, you said "I don't know where that says I'd rather not play Seattle" when your post clearly indicated you wouldn't mind playing them.

I have a feeling we are gonna play Minnesota in the playoffs

Have seen the Packers play lately? They are not very good - a lot due to injuries. I would not discount the Vikings.

I'd much rather play Minnesota or green bay. Screw facing the best teams lol I wanna win. And every team has other teams they don't wanna play, as long as the players aren't scared I have no problem rooting to avoid them lol.

Is there a reason to be making a mountain out of a mole hill? :noidea: It seems everyone in that thread had a fair and valid point. Good for you for believing it was in the bank. No one is wrong for playing it closer to the vest.

Hmmm this sound familiar.... :thumb:

Don't really care who we face, Hawks, Packers or Vikes.

I like our chances against any of them if we play the way we've seen this team play lately.

Outside of Arizona (who really has the most complete team IMO) with Carolina slightly behind, all the teams in the NFC have some exploitable holes in their game.

Packers have the best QB. Vikes have the best defense. I would like to play Seattle b/c they have the least amount of playmakers on offense. With Lynch out it totally changes that team.

Actually, if the Packers lose we get Green Bay no matter what happens with the Seahawks and Cardinals.

The only way we get the Vikings is if they lose to GB and Seattle loses.

We get the Seahawks if they beat AZ and GB beats Minnesota.

Awful...Another Sunday night game for America to ignore

Watching 2 playoff teams battle for a division>>>>>>> Not much

Id rather see the Jets fighting to get in, play the Bills in that spot

I'll defer as I'm only posting what I've seen. :noidea:
