You don't go to the playoffs to duck other teams. If you want to be one of the big boys you have to play the big boys.

I will be honest... none of the three possible opponents makes me think... I dont want to play these guys. And again.. house money. :D

you simply misunderstood my point

Which one? The one where you implied any Skins fan who expected a comfortable victory of Philly was nothing. but a homer. Or the one where you implied it was arrogant to reasonably believe the Redskins should've beaten the Cowboys?

Is there a reason to be making a mountain out of a mole hill? :noidea: It seems everyone in that thread had a fair and valid point. Good for you for believing it was in the bank. No one is wrong for playing it closer to the vest.

the one where either one of those teams could beat us and that we had a losing record when we played one of them

should we have beaten the cowboys ? sure but would i expect an untested team with a losing record to do it , that remained to be seen

we hadnt done it yet

While it may not of been done yet. It was gonna have to get done at some point eventually. Some of y'all, at least imo, were too content with status quo it seemed. Content not to beat an above .500 team, which still hasn't been done yet. Content to lose to the Cowboys who were no better than us from my vantage point. Content to be 0fer on the road, to not win consecutive games. Like waiting for next year was all good to start doing these things. Me, I figured why wait till next year for what can be reasonably done this year.

again a total misunderstanding of the point . it had nothing to do with status quo or any other thing like that . it had everything to do with keeping things in perspective and not wanting to jump off a cliff if we failed . it turns out we are champs and that is a good thing . we are growing but we still have a ways to go to be perennial contenders which should be the main goal

so i dont advocate running away from a seatle or GB or the cards or vikes because it is a gauge. . we can see how we stack up ( which could be good ) or it can show what we need to work on . all good things

I have a feeling we are gonna play Minnesota in the playoffs

Cards/Seahawks will decide who we play ultimately.

If the Cards win, we play either the Vikes or Packers.

If the Seahawks win, we play them , unless the Vikes also beat Green Bay.

I was hoping it would be determined this week. But we have to plan for all three at the moment and then figure out who it is next Sunday night.

Panthers/Bucs game moved to 3:25. Cardinals will have something to play for, as home field will still hang in the balance at kickoff time.

This is a good thing for those like me who would rather face Bridgewater than Russell and that defense.

Rather face the Sea Hawks and at least try and get that Monkey off our backs. Not to mention the Sea Hawks are not the same squad with out Beast Mode who if they are lucky they will get back for the playoffs.

You are a brave soul Shark. I'm not going to sit here and say we absolutely cannot beat the Seahawks, but I think we match up better with Minnesota. I just want to get this team as much playoff experience as possible. Not to mention a 6 seed Seahawks could go beat the Packers and then have to go to Carolina.

Best case scenario imo
Vikings
@Cardianls or Packers
Seahawks

Worst case scenario imo
Seahawks
@Panthers
@Packers or Cardinals

I would rather face Lynch coming back off injury, than AP after he secures the NFL Rushing title again.

But thats just me.

We have turned into a passing team as the run game is non-existent. Seahawks have Thomas, Kam, and Sherman back there. Our strength is their strength. Seahawks o-line is definitely suspect, and Peterson could gash us, but the Seahawks have Superbowl experience and we have a only a handful of vets with playoff experience. We'll see. I'm just glad McVay has opened the playbook. We will be a tough team to stop offensively.
