All kidding aside, I told people in Memphis I thought OU had the best team in the Big 12. But unfortunately for you, even if you run the table, unless some really strange things take place, I can't see the Sooners making the final 4.

Biggest thing we need is for Notre dame to lose. If that happens, I like our chances if we win out.

It's gonna get interesting, that's for sure. But if the 4 teams on top win out, I can't see how they get bumped.

Clemson is already #1, so they're in. Ala will deserve to be there. ND's only loss will be to # 1 Clemson, by 2 pts at Clemson, and Ohio State, going undefeated won't be ignored by the committee.

OU's only loss is to a bad Texas team, and that's not debatable.

How do you see it shaking out if my scenario comes true?

Well, if you guys handle the Bears this point, at least from the Baylor standpoint will become moot. But in all honesty, Baylor needs to vastly improve their out-of-conference schedule. Period.

It's just not a resume builder to open the season with Lamar, Rice and SMU. You could add those 3 teams together and you wouldn't have a good team.

But I'm telling you, if both Alabama and Notre Dame win out, they're both going to the final four.

Hopefully, HOPEFULLY, most of this debate will be solved actually on the playing field rather than around a conference table. To date, I don't think the decision making going on there has made me very comfortable with the process.

Something to keep in mind is the following, if Ole Miss wins their last two games - LSU @ home today, and MS St next week away - they will win the western division of the SEC, not Alabama.

If this happens, I see absolutely no way for the committee to put a team in the final four which didn't even win their division. Meaning the Tide is toast.

And if this were to happen, I think there's a better than average chance no SEC school ends up there.
