Stephen Paea actually made a play. It is November 8 and I am just now learning that he wears number 90. That's usually not a good thing.

I agree this was not on Kirk, the only chance they had was to play well offensively and of course the receivers let him down.

Before kickoff we would have been thrilled only giving up 27 pts. But let's be honest, only reason for that was the Patriots appeared to lose interest.

Lost on that play? Trent Robinson has been lost all year.

To top it off Kerrigan comes back from broken hand and surgery in two weeks, Breeland comes back from hamstring in two weeks. I understand there are different degrees of injuries. To need all that time to heal only to come back and say "it wasn't my fault." I have been a huge fan but we just don't need this kind of crap around here anymore.

Clearly Belicheck for the most part took away JReed and .Jax.

the run defense isnt as advertised

Understatement of the year. They quite possibly have the worst rushing defense in the NFL. Their D line has been awful, LBs probably worse & their current secondary is a joke. Blame it on injuries if you like, but IMO it goes beyond that. This is also simply not a matter of being outclassed by the Pats. They have played like this for the past month. I am also now pretty sure that if a healthy Gurley played in that Rams game he would have run for over 200 yards.

I would not have had an issue if say Brady threw for 5 TDs & outmatched them. However - getting destroyed by the Pats running game & allowing Blount to have his best rushing game every really stings. The effort was pathetic at times. What exactly does Joe Barry do to earn a paycheck?

They better get their asses in gear or else they are going to get destroyed by both the Saints and Panthers. I wasn't expecting much this season but at least I expected these relatively young players to show some effort. There was precious little of that today. A lot of those players should have returned their paychecks.

Deanpet - still expecting 9 wins out of this group of slackers? Good luck with that.

Had to check some of your facts. Seems we were 30th in the NFL at 6.5/attempt...just ahead of PHI and IND.

Our only deep threat made his first catch of the season today because he has had leg issues all season. Deep threat...leg issues...hmmm...problem?

Julio Jones 12.7 per catch
Deandre Hopkins 13.2/catch
Keenan Allen 10.8/catch
Antonio Brown 13.8/catch
Fitz 12.8/catch
AJ Green 14/catch
Demaryus 12.4/catch

You see...it's not about YPC buddy. We have been conservative but we can't run an offense that doesn't have the players to run it.

What I see is you using some of the NFL's top pass catchers this year whereas our top pass catcher, Garcon, doesn't crack or barely cracks the top 25 in receptions this year. Looking at the top 4 Redskin pass catchers this season and only one, Garcon, is averaging over 10 yards per catch (just barely) and he just inched above 10 yards per catch in the last couple weeks. Why don't you check the top four pass catchers of the teams of every WR you've listed and see if they have only one pass catcher that's averaging 10 yards or more per catch.

Just looked at the team stats at nfl.com again and yep, the Skins are dead last at 6.3 and dead last with 1 pass of 40+ yards per season. They're also 31st in the league on passes of 20+ yards with 18.

You see, I'm not talking strictly about ypc, buddy, and yes, I know Djax has been out the entire year up to this point. That doesn't mean, at least imo, that the Skins should be scared to go deep or should stop trying to go deep altogether. Because if that's been the case, and there does seem to be evidence to support that given their overall team stats, pass catching stats and KC's stats. They are effectively doing at least one job for the opposition that the opposition should be doing themselves. Not to mention that it wouldn't be doing the Skins running game any favors either. Plus no one can say the Redskins don't have any players capable of being a deep threat if the Redskins are not employing a deep threat into their game-plan.

Edit:
Jordan Reed looked like he could be a pretty decent deep threat from what we saw in the game against the Giants. Even though Cousins failed to get him the ball. He was behind the man covering him at both 26 yards and 19 yards down the field. Reed is presently averaging 9.68 yards per catch on 38 catches.

I would guess that between Garcon, Jackson & Roberts that there is a good chance that 2 of these guys are gone next season barring an amazing comeback by any of them. None were selected by SM & you can't invest that type of money in one area with little production while the team has so many other glaring needs.

What I was doing was saying yards per catch is not a good indicator...yards per attempt is a much better stat.

I have already stated where my stats came from...ESPN.com.

Actually, at one point, you were specifically talking about yards per catch.

How many games has Reed missed this season? We have already spoken about how he was late on the pass to the left pylon causing it to be under thrown and the other he was hit and unable to step into the pass...and how Reed didn't come back to it for a very easy PI.

Our run game has been a joke since week 3. Personally, I think you play too much Madden. Would I like to see more deep passes....of course. But if you can't figure out it is hard to properly judge an offense without your top two threats, then we don't need to talk about it. Take Gronk and Edellman away from the Pats, then have their run game be shit, and see if things don't change there.

Beginning to feel like the Skins just have to try and be historically bad at something every year...

I picked that up very early on, but was told it was not relevant to what was happening on the field, by someone who claims that he knows more than I ever could......if only he knew my history!
