To me, this is what's going to potentially hurt the Cavs. If Kyrie is really going to be out until December or January, Lebron is going to have to log some heavy minutes at some point in the season. Either while Kyrie is out to keep the Cavs in the upper half of the playoff race, or more towards the end of the season when they are trying to make up ground.

Either way, it's going to be a lot more minutes on a player who has already logged a ton of minutes and is starting to decline a little.

Having to log heavy minutes with a bad back will not be good for Lebron. Two injections within 10 months? Something to keep an eye on.

what does it matter, as long as they get in and are healthy is way more important

If we were talking about any teams other than the Cavs (for obvious reasons) & the Warriors this would be true. The Warriors have to do well this season for most to justify their championship.

It was clearly a foul but refs don't make those calls on the road....either way they can improve little things like missing 7 ft's in a 2 point loss

Not even close to foul. The defender is entitled to his position on the floor and to move with the offensive player which is what Gasol did.

If i had a complaint it was that terrible Tech they called on the cavs right when they were getting back into the game....

I agree. The only thing I can think of for why they called that tech was he may have said "the magic word." Outside of that, it wasn't egregious at all.

Lebron would have missed those foul shots anyways lol

The tech was bad and the foul they called on smith before the tech was no contact at all

The nba kinda shafted us on scheduling tho with back to back road games against playoff contenders to start the season

OMGoodness.. Some of you homer fans need to be viciously SportsHoopla beatin. Pau got all ball and minimal body on that play. Plus look where Lebron's left hand/arm is?? In Pau's chest pushing off.

And if you want a soft schedule early, don't win the Eastern Conference I suppose. Dam stop crying

First off, if you actually had watched the game he clearly didn't go straight up. I mean, if you have eyes, you can figure that out. You have to be a retard if you believe that.

Secondly, my point was it easily could've been called a foul but wasn't, hence my point about Lebron not getting all the calls.

Pau's body is straight up with Lebron's left hand/arm pushing him in the chest. it's clear as day. And Straight up or not, Pau got all ball and the body contact was minimal..

I am making it a point from here on out NOT to talk to any of you HOMERS that whine about calls and refs. It's getting stupid. Most of the thread the day after is talking about refs. :L

Jesus fuck, would you morons actually read the posts before you comment on them??

I've never one single time said that was undoubtedly a foul and should've been called, and I've explicitly said twice now that the refs didn't cost us the game.

My comment was in regard ONLY TO LEBRON and the fact that last year so many people bitched about him getting all the calls. I merely pointed out that there COULD have been a foul called on this play with the body contact, but there wasn't.

How COULD it have been called a foul when it clearly wasn't a foul?!? Jesus Christ you're a homer!

This is the last time I'm going to spell this out for you fucking morons, OK?

There was body contact. Not a ton by any means, and I'm not even saying it was enough to call a foul.

WHAT I AM SAYING is that there was a ton of bitching last year about how Lebron would get every foul called to go his way. I merely pointed out that, IF THAT WERE ACTUALLY THE CASE, there probably would've been a foul called here because there was some body contact. HOWEVER, a foul WAS NOT called, and (for now the 4th time), IT DID NOT COST THE CAVS THE GAME.

So it's Jesus's fault?

SO are you saying Pau fouled Lebron or are you not? Dammit I always get sucked back into this homer bullshit..

I said he didn't go straight up. That doesn't mean I said it was a foul, otherwise I would be saying it was a foul. He trended right along with Lebron. It's not like he was standing under the basket and just jumped straight up. When he jumped, his feet very clearly didn't land in the same place. Therefore, he did not just jump straight up.
