It's something that hasn't happened in nearly three decades, so I don't think it's a reach, but with it benefiting the same team, and the previous one being one of the most infamous plays in MLB history, it'd be damn near incompetence to NOT mention it.

DeGrom is filthy. I think he's the best of their starters. But the Royals always seem to play their best when the odds are against them. And they have a huge edge at home.

When did Danny Duffy start throwing 98?? Has he always had that stuff? I don't seem to remember that guy.

He had it on occasion pre TJS. Velocity dipped some after TJS. As a reliever he can go all out it and get it up to 97 more consistently.

He found a little extra last year.

He'll be one of those guys that doesn't live up to expectations as a starter, and has a good career as a reliever, like Affeldt and almost every other hard throwing lefty

It's not a matter of liking it. I just thought it was a fairly obvious connection. If it were the 5th inning or something, then it would definitely be a reach. Buck and Reynolds make a ton of ridiculous comments, that just doesn't seem like one to me.
