Fly, Eagles Fly
It's crazy how bad he sucks.
Sam is gaining confidence every week, every win, every big throw, every hit. He was moving way better out there last night. We haven't seen his best game yet, nor have we needed it. Piece by piece this thing is coming together. If Chip's a good coach we'll be peaking right at the right time.
Some of you are watching a much different game then I am. I see a qb that is not comfortable in the pocket, won't step up in the pocket and doesn't follow his progressions, instead his head looks like a bobble head swinging back and forth. He short hops balls and under throws the deep balls because he doesn't plant that left leg and step into his throws. He doesn't throw the football with any velocity either, he was lucky he didn't throw a pick 6 on that bubble screen. He looks to me right now like he is afraid. He also does not read a defense well at all. I see no Moxy, no take charge ability out there. I see a qb that simply does not look comfortable in any way. That presents a serious problem. Had we played a team like the Cardinals, packers, Denver or New England last night we would have lost by 20.
The team is 3-3. They sure could have used better performances from Bradford in their 3 losses. And they scored exactly 0 points in the second half vs the Jets. Sam has 3 End zone INTs and 5 picks overall in their last two wins. I'm not giving up on him yet but he needs to be MUCH better.
If they were 6-0 Then what you said would've made sense. The Defense is bailing him out time and time again right now.
If you're playing the right kind of ball in January it doesn't matter how you get in.
The Panthers and Falcons sill need to prove they can do it all year and the Packers have yet to find their running game.
...and then there's Sam Bradford. It's 6 weeks in and I believe this is his ceiling. If he didn't light up this team, he's not going to light up anybody. This is who he is: the bottom 25% of QBs.
We're a QB away from being competitive. Again.
I can say 63% is inaccurate when the best QBs are taking advantage of passing rules and hitting 70%. He's mediocre at best.Except that two of the three INTs were overthrows or miscommunications. And its hard to say that a guy that completed 63% of his passes was inaccurate.

If we win the other games, we can lose 3 of those 4 and probably win the division with 10 wins. I think we could get 2 of those 4.No reason you guys can't make the playoffs. The NFC East is the worst I've ever seen it. You have four tough games, Panthers, Cowboys, Patriots and Cards, the rest .... meh.
If it was the NBA would could afford all these bad games from Sam. Too bad we only play 16 games and we're almost 1/2 way thru and he's making the same bad throws he made week 1...and before he got hurt 2 years ago.You are looking for the negatives. So that's what you are finding.
Dude hasn't played much football in the last 2 years. This is the NFL. He's not comfortable back there yet, nor should any reasonable person expect him to be all the way there at this point.
I guess I'm crazy and by the sounds of the radio 90% of eagle nation along with the Philadelphia media... all crazy! Because everyone's seeing the guy making the same pathetic throws every week. He is gonna own an NFL record soon most balls picked off in the end zone! Not a record a qb wants to hold. You are looking for the negatives. So that's what you are finding.

And we're still 3-3. The Oline started to come together, and the run game. The secondary has stepped it up. Next Bradford and the terrible WRs. You all are really seeing how right I was about paying Maclin the money he earned now, aren't you?
Well it kind of does matter. Home field is a huge advantage and even huger is to have a first round bye. It raises your odds of advancing by alot not only making it a round further without playing a game, but having two weeks to prepare and get healthy to the opponents one. Teams with a bye are usually a 7+ point favorite to win the next round and find themselves playing in the conference championship game.
Of course anything is possible, but it is unfortunate that with 3 conference losses at this point, it seems unlikely that the Eagles would get a bye.

He looks like shit bro.....I hope your right....right now he looks like Bobby Hoying. You're all crazy. He was running around better and taking hits well. When he gets comfortable he'll probably be as good as we need him to be.
