Driving back from clemson this morning....hell of a game, in the 2nd half. My hats off to the clemson fans, they welcomed us, had good discussions about football, and were humble in victory. My father in law and I had great seats, surrounded by a sea of orange. Throughout the game the atmosphere was amazing despite the insane rain. We visited Esso's, took pictures with Howard's rock and partaked in some great tailgates. I hope the Irish fans show Clemson fans they same hospitality when they visit South Bend in 2020.

@awclayton

have you seen this yet. It's a pic from the game. You can find yourself in the pic and tag yourself and share it. It's pretty freaking cool.

"As part of the Clemson Tiger football game on October 3 against No. 6 Notre Dame, an ultra-high resolution 360-degree photo was taken of fans!

The interactive photo, powered by Blakeway Worldwide Panoramas, allows fans to find and tag themselves, share the views with friends, enter to win cool prizes and celebrate the game in incredible detail. The image is billions of pixels in size (yes, that's billion with a "b")!"

Very disappointing that no jimmies were rustled. :tsk:
Our CB, McKensie Alexander, russled some jimmies with all his trash talk on the field and then, prior to the game, there was some media person that was ND alum that said Clemson fans would be lugubrious after the game. Well we got russled and made sure to let him know about it via some well versed tweets after the game. Ex. "That poor leprechaun looked lugubrious in the downpour." Our fans are very nasty like that.

We just returned from Virginia, the hospitality there was as good as, no, better than anywhere we've been. Indeed, the only Southern place where we got disrespected and rude treatment was at UGA. That made kicking them around the Georgia Dome extra sweet a couple of years later. I have to admit I was rude and had my picture taken next to Gen. Sherman's marker in Atlanta, then posted it. On the other hand, SC, NC, and Virginia (once you get outside of DC) are great places, filled with history and good people.

Trust me, that one usually doesn't lead to hospitality, least not in my experience.:nono:

I admit that I don't fall into the hospitable southerner stereotype.

If you come down for a visit, that's fine and dandy, but get your ass back home when the trip is done.
