Exactly. Let's appreciate his performance today but realize that he is still learning and there will be off days in the future.

GROW ... the key word. Some want to annoint him, some want to bury him but he is learning. He says it every week and said it today. He couldn't have made that last throw earlier in his career because he did not have the knowledge and understanding of the game to execute it. He'll have some bad games and he will have some good games. Exactly why you don't want to bench him so soon. Give him a chance to learn and grow and see if he can turn into something. If not, then you move on as needed.

You need to be careful about that approach. Sure - by opening things up you could get a TD instead of a FG. However - you could also experience an INT & drop in confidence for the entire team. This goes hand in hand with developing a QB slowly. Let's not get too greedy.

I kind of see your pt. However - let's say they pass & it results in an INT. The backlash will be pretty bad & that could possibly include negative comments even from someone like yourself. You have to consider all of the possibilities.

Let this be the first time I admit that Cousins not only played well this past week, he got my vote of confidence not that it matters. You all know I'm an RG3 supporter but I like what Cousins is doing. He has his best success when he is not turning over the ball with bad decisions. He is doing, saying and playing like a young professional QB even though he has limitations in his arsenal and It will be interesting to see how he performs the final 12 games. More importantly, he is winning the confidence of his teammates.
