NFL investigated possibility Roethlisberger was using cell phone

In fairness to those who suspect foul play, Roethlisberger seems to be looking around after shoving the thing back in his sweatshirt, almost as if to see whether anyone saw what he had been doing. However, it seems clear at this point that he wasn’t using a phone in violation of league rules during a game.

Nobody gives a shit if Ben was on a phone or not, he wasn't looking for a advantage.

So what is the point? That this was against the rules, I guess? Prove it! Prove that is a electronic device. Prove it! :D

Have you not seen the pics? Nor the video? It's not a black arm band as the league claims. It's an electronic device with ports/buttons on the side of it.

Nor do I. But that isn't the point.

That's always my take on these things too. Is it a big deal? Probably not. Is it against the rules? Yes. It's that straight forward.

And the old "it wouldn't give an advantage" or whatever version of that sentence is used makes no sense either. Who cares if it gave an advantage? Its still against the rules. Wearing the wrong color socks doesn't give anyone an advantage but players get in trouble for stupid shit like that all the time because its against the rules.

Its really simple, if you don't want to answer questions about it in the media, and you don't gain an advantage anyway, then why break the rule?

Take a closer look at it. Look how it's bent. Not even an iPhone 6 Plus gets that much bend. Now a laminated card in a holder sure could.

Are we saying this is what he was holding?

I'm no forensic photo analyst but they don't look the same to me.

In other news, Kleenex sales have continued to skyrocket in 31 of the 32 NFL markets, and seems to have a direct correlation to the New England Patriots continued success.

I remember 3 years ago when Polamalou was just calling his wife on the sidelines after a concussion to say he was ok and the NFL fined him 10k, who gives a fuck
Does that make this a habbit for Steelers on the sideline:noidea: Perpetual cheaters.
I agree no big deal just like calling a spade a spade if it is a cell phone?

Who cares what he is holding? This is a story?
We can't pick and choose what rules we break. If it was an electronic device he broke a rule. Nope had no outcome on the game more than likely? Stupid rule probably? But it's all about the integrity of the game and the shield right?

Pats haters are like libs on the political pages, incapable of conceding a simple point while they accuse others of not being able to concede a point.

The Deflator was not losing weight. Ben's device is not an arm band. Cripes.

The irony is just too much for any mere mortal to grasp...
