At the beginning of the season it was widely thought that Dallas or Philly would win the NFCE. The great reshuffle in Philly so far appears to be abject failure. Dallas will be without its top two players for at least half a season. To me it's wide open Washington looks better than advertised and the Giants are a bit of an enigma but they tend to get it together as the season progresses. This will be fun to watch.

Hard to say no to the 'Skins at this point... But I still think its too early.

Cowboys... Regardless of injuries, sitting at 2 wins in the division is huge. They can piece together a patchwork offense to get them through the next few months without Romo. Weeden looked pretty good behind that O-line. I still like their chances of winning the division.

Giants... Looking pretty erratic at best. Game management problems are a huge red flag at the moment. They should be able to resolve those issues. I expected more from their offense, but I think its still a possibility for this team to catch fire. I think they have a better chance of taking the division.

'Skins... Just because they beat the Rams doesn't make them anything special. But they have a good chance at taking the division. It will all hinge on Cousins and division play. They have the pieces to make it work.

Eagles... Fans must be tearing their hair out after they looked so promising in the preseason. They need to figure out how to get the running game going. Relying on Bradford too much is going to kill them.

This arrogance and smugness from Boys fans is hilarious. I'll just wait to see the actual season play out.:suds:
They win the division one time in fifteen years and then get arrogant about it. They're a funny bunch.

Skins lost to a terrible MIA team and then beat a worse Rams team. Dallas has a brutal first half schedule, so we will probably lose more than we win. But the schedule is much easier late in the season when everyone should be coming back.

So, 2-0 overall. 2-0 in the division and basically 2 1/2 up on Philly and NYG and no shot?

As of today Romo should be back at some point and so will Dez. Plus we get 3 key defensive starters back sooner. Why would Dallas fans not think they have a good shot to win the Division? Wash seems to be the wild card, but going by Redskins fans own preseason predictions they felt the team was looking at 4 or 5 wins. Now that they are 1-1 they are going to win 9 or 10 games? Do Philly or NY look like they are going to win more than 9 games right now? If Romo misses 8 games and Dallas goes even 3-5 that puts them at 5-5 for the stretch run and back for both Wash games. Sorry, but like I said last night I'm not throwing in the towel yet. It's a long season and watching Football has taught me to take the games one week at a time.

If we were 0-2 without Romo and Dez, yeah I'd be feeling differently, but if it is a race to 9 or 10 wins in the NFC East I feel pretty good right now even with all of the injuries.

Skins beat the hapless Rams and all of a sudden feel like world beaters. Well, gotta find something to be happy about I guess.

In the mean time we are 2-0 in division play.

LOL. I thought that you were a reasonable fan - I guess I was wrong. I make no predictions for the Redskins & a lot - good or bad - can happen over the course of the season. That being said - "hapless Rams"? Weren't these guys just being praised for the way they handled the Seahawks? Did you make the same statement about them last week?

As for Weeden - are you serious? What is the guy now - 40? Cousins is still a question mark, but to be brash about Weeden is laughable. Oh well - I guess that Cowboys arrogance is expected from all of their fans.

And your post exemplifies Skins fans. Come of as an ass and justify it by blaming it on another fan base for being "arrogant" after having their 2-0 team given no shot to finish ahead of the Skins??? gota love message boards.

This week: I have never fallen for the Rams like many seem to have, but running the ball against them the way Wash did (i didn't see the game just going off numbers) was very, very impressive. But, that alone doesn't win you a division

I am reasonable. I am reasonable enough to not roll into a thread that proclaims the Skins as the favorites in the east and bash 2-0 Dallas fans who say "Hold the fuck up".

Weeden is no world beater either, but for anyone to say that because Romo is out Washington has the advantage is laughable. It isn't like Cousins and Romo were neck and neck, so now our backup is in so we are at a clear disadvantage.

Gotta love Skins fans that come into a thread this thread, skim past the posts saying the Skins are "easily the favorites" over a team that already has 2 division wins under their belt, and immediately start attacking Dallas posters for thumping our chests or guaranteeing anything.

All I know is if the Skins are going to win the division they need to establish at least a 3 game lead over the Cowboys before Romo comes back.

I don't necessarily agree with that since a split against Dallas in the last 5 would go a long way of shortening the end of the season, but Let's say that is true. What are the odds the Skins make up 4 games in the next 8? If Dallas goes 2-6 that would mean Wash needs to go 6-2. Are they a team that could go 6-2? Anything is possible, but I'm not betting on that even if I'm a Skins fan

Which with the schedule and timeline for Romo's return in doubt, is possible. Assume Romo is out 6 games:

Dallas: ATL, @NO, NE, Bye, @NYG, SEA
Wash: @NYG, PHL, @ATL, @NYJ, TPA, Bye
Wash would need to go 4-1 in those six weeks, and Dallas would need to be 1-4 in order for Washington to get 3 games up. I could see Dallas going 1-4 with that schedule since our easiest game looks like @NO. Washington could easily get 2 wins, perhaps go 4-1.

So 3 games up is possible if Romo is able to get back in 6 weeks.

LOL....and sharks opinions are yours.

shoot SoCal....I expected better

My bad - I should not have said "all". Perhaps many - oh well my bad. BTW - a Redskins fan did not start this thread & most Redskins fans that I know do not in any way believe that the Redskins are favorites for anything at this time. Peace.
