It is official. Chi Chi is pitching Sunday and Hamels has been moved to Monday. Also Hamilton is having surgery to get his knee cleaned up and they are expecting him back before the end of the season.

I think there is a good chance that they could hit the ground running as well as Stubbs and Strausborger and maybe even Venable but I am okay with him. This is not something I have been for previously it is just me throwing out a crazy idea. But it is working for Houston too. Look at Correa. How long did it take him? The Angels waited so long a few years ago to call up Trout it cost them a chance at the playoffs. Its a fine line and I know it.

Mark Trumbo is one of the worst hitters in baseball when it comes to pitch recognition and discipline, yet for some reason we keep feeding him strikes to hit. He's basically Josh Hamilton without the freakish ability. He will swing at just about anything and strike himself out quite often.

We are the best team in all of baseball in letting pitchers up off the mat and not punishing them when we have the chance...so many early innings chances we get to really put up big numbers and we often get 0.
