I still go back to Griffin's quote before preseason game 3. When asked about the injury he said you need to ask the people who said he had a concussion. That was my first clue something was not right. Again who gets cleared, then uncleared? When have you ever seen that happen, at the most convenient time possible for the team as it allowed them to go withnthe QB they wanted to play?, And again why did the neurologist quit his gig with the NFL the same week? Total coincidence?


Sorry, just too many weird things happening to a team who specializes in weird things happening for me to totally dismiss the idea.

Amen to that. Even if things go bad I would love to actually comment on things like turnovers, pass rush and penalties as opposed to press conferences, SM's wife and who doesn't like who in the Redskins locker room (some of these will still persist but at least it won't be the only topic of conversation).

So I've watched this thread and shake my head. Dad is right. This is an independent doctor, there is no way he was influenced by anyone to falsify his report. It's just not plausible. We have become so jaded by the dysfunction of this organization that some of us are now seeing things that just aren't there. You realize that this physician could lose his license if he did such a thing. Not going to happen. As for Griffins comments, while they are certainly suspect, they are inline with his historical comments about his injuries. He is delusional when he comes to his own health. We should know that now.

The timing, the lack of contact on the play and the fact that we still have no answers heading into the third week of this ordeal. Getting cleared and then saying well never mind, scratch that. From cleared to a 3 week concussion. I'm just not buying it. But I'm more focused on Sunday at this point. Just ready to see what we have.

Kbso, it seems to me that your implication is that somehow we are being mislead about this concussion. If true, the doctor has to be involved. For that, he can lose his license. Concussions are tricky things. Ive had one. Symptoms come and go.

I get your frustration and skepticism. This franchise is dysfunctional and has lied in the past. The Owner is completely untrustworthy and his ethics trickle down. I don't need someone to put their name to it to know this is a fact. Where there is smoke, there is almost always fire. But the skins have absolutely no influence or control over this independent evaluation.

No idea. It's my understanding that they got the verbal report but are waiting for the written final before they announce the results. Probably smart after the last fiasco. But who cares? The report makes no difference. Griffin is benched no matter what the reports say. Kirk is our QB. Who knows, maybe they are negotiating an injury settlement with rg3 and that is what the delay is. Or there is a trade in the works. Or they all believe the doctor is a buffoon and want another independent evaluation (which may explain why he is resigning). I can tell you, if I was Griffin and I believe that I didn't have a concussion, I already would have gone to see my own independent doctor for a second opinion.

Yes. I agree. I stand by my original statement though. I think Dan is giving Jay a show me year. Show me why I shouldn't fire you. Show me why I'm wrong about RG and you are right. If Cousins performs, they cut RG after the season or midway through. If not Jay and Cousins are run out of here and Dan finds a guy (Bevel) to fit RG'S skill set. If RG still insist on not running that type of system, Scot gets the ok to cut RG and draft a QB.

I still think this concussion things stinks to the high heavens, but I find it more unsettling that Gruden, if I am right would have to go though all of this just to get the guy he wants in there.
