Make no mistake there is an internal tug-o-war going on in Ashburn. OK, I'll concede that it's looking a lot like Griffin's days are numbered, but what if we're all wrong about that, or at least half right? Jay Gruden was hired specifically because he convinced management that he had the tools to work with Dan's favorite. In addition, let's suppose SM is locked into a position where he wants to exercise his authority to move RGIII and standing in the way is Snyder. Snyder won't dismiss him, but in such a scenario SM could decide that such an override is untenable and offers his resignation. I know that it is all speculation (what else do we have to do when the subject is Griffin, Snyder and Co.?) But the question stands, would it shock you if with or without the departure of Griffin, someone else goes with ( or without) him?

If you mean gruden, yes it would shock me only because the season is about to start. If this were happening during the offseason or late in the seaso then I wouldn't be shocked.

IF Dan decided that his current pet player was more important than having a coach and a GM, I think you would finally see a fan revolt. Quickest way to ensure an empty stadium for the coming season would be for Dan to pull that move. I got eight tickets for the week two game and a block of 12 for the Dallas, Philly and NY games. If he pulled that crap, I would sell them at $1 a ticket to the respective rival fans at that point.

Daniel Snyder isn’t blocking a trade, but Robert Griffin III might not bring much in return

This report seems to imply that Snyder is not as attached to RG3 as many would believe. We will see. Perhaps this report is not totally accurate, but that also means that a lot of the other reports may not be accurate. One thing I am confident about - no way in hell does Snyder risk losing his current GM. As you allude to above - this would be the straw that broke the camel's back & it would force a lot of fans to move on. If SM was fired or put in a position to quit I would seriously consider not watching this team for a long time - but it ain't happening.
