Well - you bring up a great pt that I keep trying to stress. Don't judge this team and the FO in the offseason, the preseason & not even in the first few months of the regular season. Wait until midseason & beyond. I have always felt that the QB situation will take care of itself & that appears to be the case - same is true for the rest of the team. Patience my fellow fans.

so doesnt that mean Rg3 was in competition all along and only recieved 1st team snaps ?

The valid point that keeps being made tho ... you can not start Griffen Week 1 because he has a concussion 3 weeks prior.

It sets a bad precedent to remove someone from being a starter because of an injury & would encourage players to hide their injuries.

No players should loose their position due to injury.

Don't think that this was a situation where a player lost his job because of injury, it is not!!! What we are witnessing is a organizational decision to go with their coach. It has again come down to siding with one or the other and in making their choice, they've also put Gruden on notice as he no longer has the excuse of a forced Griffin start to lean on. As for Griffin they would be very lucky to get a conditional pick for him. It is because I can't see another team making that trade, his future here goes to zero and he will be released.

well hold on there buddy , we have the press saying SM wants to move on from 3 and that KC will start vs miami and also a possible trade or cut being talked about by unnamed sources
