mine is on at 77..but I am in houston..its on 365 days a year.

It's not hot enough here for mine to come on @ 77, so I had to run the stat down to 75 to get the fucking humidity out.

I'm very glad I moved out of Dakota Dunes.....

The house I lived in is expected to have 4ft of water in the first floor for up to two months.... I spent most my time in the basement.

Yes sir....

A lot of people are pissed off at the people who control flow out ot the dams.... 2 months ago the river had sand bars all over the place.... now the river is full, the resovors are full.... and the snow is melting in montana and sech.... plus montana and the dakotas have got a lot of rain.

They are talking about 37' river level here.... Not sure what that would mean for Omaha.... but that could shut down our power plants...... and destroy dakota dunes, and do a lot of damage in south sioux....... Sioux city would probably be ok..

You're right in every aspect of the situation.

I've been watching it very closely for a couple of weeks. The Missouri River in Omaha is at 28.7', record flood stage is 30', they are expecting 34 - 35' in a couple of weeks (that's if there is no rain in the basin). Omaha installed the flood gates for the first time ever the other day to try and protect downtown. The new CWS stadium is built next to the river and could be threatened.

The problem is that those dams were built for flood control, but have been hijacked by the recreation crowd (us fisherman). The corps is under pressure to keep the water levels up to appease the tourism industry. Now they're going to have to answer for it and I'm sure (depending on the severity of the outcome) the corps is going to win this time.
