So what? We could have had him and we passed to fill an immediate need (IMO). If he turns out to be a monster then yeah it was a mistake, not sure how it can be looked at any other way. And since I wanted him all along why wouldn't I pay attention to his progress?

Do you have a time machine? If not - what is the pt w/ the "woulda shoulda" nonsense except perhaps to learn from mistakes (if viewed that way)? I also don't understand people wanting this to happen to declare that they were right. As I have stated before - I would love to be wrong 100% about this team of the time if it means that the Redskins were doing well.

Now - if Williams is 100% better than Scherff you might have a pt. However - if he is marginally better - again so what?

When did I ever say I wanted this to happen? I said just the opposite in fact. I want Scherff to be Jim Lachey, we all want that.

I was hoping more Joe Jacoby, but Jim Lachey will work to.

Heck I will take Samuels or even Jansen at this time. I just want to see a productive O line in the not too distant future. HTTR

The Galette signing was a no brainer....even if everything he's been accused of is true. Why?, because in a pure football sense, when comparing his resume' to any other player on this team at the position, well there is no one comparable. I actually laughed at the whole baggage piece.....remembering that world renown model citizen D. Hall and his short stay here because he came with so much baggage.

I loved Double J and Big Chris, but neither played like legitimate #5 picks of the draft. I'm hopeful Schreff lives up to his draft status. That's not to say if Schreff ends up with a career like Jansen's or Samuels' that he was a terrible pick. It would mean, at least to me, that he shouldn't of been the Skins pick at #5. I want someone in the mold of John Hannah, Larry Allen, Steve Hucthenson or Anthony Munoz. W/O a doubt first ballot Hall of Famers or at the very least, Russ Grimm or Joe Jacoby. Both of whom were on the All-Decade team for the 80s.

Or.....if I may be allowed to live the dream for a second. I'l be absolutely giddy to say damn the Hall of Fame. If Schreff ends up like Mark May (not in the hall, but is a 2 time SB winner) or Jeff Bostic (not in the hall, but is a 3 time SB winner)

Yeah, its cool to be back, but the sabbatical wasn't totally by choice either. I had forgotten my password for the longest and simply took a shot in the dark. Using a pw I got from yahoo.com about 12 years ago when I forgot the pw I came up with. For whatever reason, I've never forgotten the yahoo given pw even though I've nevr used it...until registering here at SportsHoopla apparently.

What's up Breeder? Sorry about KFFL, maybe it's just temporary?

Not much, homey. Just chilling and happy to be back on SportsHoopla. As for KFFL, it had a damn good run, but looking at this message board and a couple others I belong to. In the world of message boards. KFFL was like some old coot who yearned for the good old days and screamed at all the school kids to get off his lawn.

I heard about the signing the day it happened or day after, but have no idea who he is. Looking at his stats on nfl.com though. I hope those stats continue to trend as they do. If this article is any type of true indication though. Galette appears to potentially be suffering from a case of RG3Imafuckinass0cuzihitthebigtimeitis. As well as a justanotherdickheadwhocantkeephishandsoffwomen00fliction.

Junior Galette-Saints relationship soured quickly - NFL.com

Not at all, but I got an email from the Screen Names and Password Protection Bureau folks and they said I had went well beyond my quota of using that password. And I couldn't remember if I signed up here with BreedIsMyBabyDaddy, BigGirlsNeedLove2, JustInCaseDeadGirlsNeedLove, or WhereTheWhiteWomenAt!

Turns out I didn't use any of those passwords.

That all depends. A major reason for Samuels decline was injuries. Injuries sustained while in the NFL cannot be predicted or factored in for most draft picks. A pick can be 100% justified yet never pan out due to injuries. A lot of this is just a byproduct of luck.

True. From everything I've heard regardless of what Schreff becomes. He's reportedly a player with a mean streak, plays with a physicality, and finishes blocks off IE will drive your dick in the dirt. Clearly SMGM is intent on making the Skins a physical team that will punish opponents. And quite frankly I'm all for that.

Oh no doubt we all want to get back to the tough Redskins, not the pussy Redskins we've been subjected to. So yeah I'm cool with Scherff although I still wish they had drafted Williams.

With that said word is he is really struggling at RT stopping the edge rusher. As of today if the season were to start he would be at RG, Moses at RT. Well so much for this pick solving the immediate need at RT, I though they liked Long at RG.

We'll see.

Kind of expected. Nobody should really expect any rookie along the O line to step in rt away w/o issues. If they do - it is a bonus. Give it some time - they have not even played a preseason game yet & it may take a while for these young guys to do well (possibly even beyond this year unfortunately).

Mayock said he might be better suited as an OG not an OT in the NFL. Considering how the interior of the Skins OL has been manhandled, tossed away, and/or driven directly back into what was supposed to be a QB pocket. On what seems to be a semi-habitual basis. Schreff becoming an OG and hopefully contributing greatly to securing said interior line wouldn't be such a terrible thing imo.

I know you'll naturally hate it though, Dave, as in your eyes. OGs are a rung higher on the ladder than a punter.
