Says Chris Broussard: "He doesn't like the perception out there that he is hiring the coach, that he's going to wait and hold the hammer over the head of the Cavaliers until they sign Tristan Thompson."

See.
It really is about James.
All pre planned , nothing genuine about him not being involved.
An attempt for positive publicity.

Still, it's all BS.

Numbers won't lie.
Damn near guarantee it.

That's funny since kobe has more rings than shaq and has NEVER left the lakers! I guess we can put this comment in the "talk from the side of ones' neck" vault!

In Shaq's defense, he did lead the Lakers in win shares in each of those seasons during the three-peat. Interestingly, Gasol led the Lakers in win shares in each of the last two Laker championships, but Kobe led the Lakers in win shares in each and every season between the three-peat and the two-peat.

He definitely goes off the Heat's team immediately.. the Nets wouldn't want him continuing to play there under contract.

I guess its up to the Nets as to whether they put him on their team or not.

Well, with summer league tickets, it gets you into all 8 or however many there are games for the day.
Maybe I'll see him somewhere...

Didn't know that, that's pretty cool. I should do that next year.

Yet the only common denominator in all three scenarios is Kobe.

In Vegas they play on 2 courts where UNLV plays.
I read one building connects to the other.
I'm not going to waste an entire day/night in Vegas watching summer league.
That would be CRAZY.
Heat plays at a perfect time. 4PM.
Head over during the 2 pm games be out by 6.

Forget Black Mamba, let's call the man Common Denominator. That might not sound as cool, but I'm a nerd like that.

Nice. My father in law lives like a few hundred yards from the Thomas and Mack Center, that's perfect. The wife and younger kids can hang with Grandpa while me and my son checkout some summer league.

Do they play there every year?

Wow Kanter's offer sheet from Portland is for $17.5 mill per year. At this point.. that's the minimum he'll get.

I realize Kanter is a starter and - at this point - a better player than Tristan... but whatever Thompson ends up getting paid... this will help it feel less outrageous.

So Portland offered Kanter 4 yr $70 mil. A little over 17 mil per.
If they get him he could be the next Aldridge ha. He is 23, but he only had one good season. Still a lot, but they have the money and need to take a chance somewhere.

Kanter is obviously a better scorer, but all around player TT is better no doubt. They are around the same age, the difference is Kanter is a starter and Portland desperately needs a player.

Yeah, to be honest, I've seen very little of Kanter... so I'll defer to others re: who is the better player.

I can only go on stats... like you said Kanter is the better scorer. They played the same minutes last season.

Holy shit, they are over-paying him.
