His fastball was in the 85-88 mph range, consistent with what the Rangers had seen during Harrison’s six-start rehab assignment. There were times when Harrison was able to push the velocity up to the low 90s, but a lack of command followed. He had hoped the adrenaline of a major league start would naturally pump up the velocity just a bit.

It didn’t. Though he hit 90 with his hardest fastball of the night, he averaged 87.2 mph. Either it will require some more time to ramp up or he’s going to have to learn to pitch with a significantly lesser fastball than he showed the last time he was “healthy” in 2012. He averaged 92 mph with the fastball back then.

“I think it can jump up and it has on the rehab starts,” Banister said. “We looked for it. It didn’t happen. We’ll look at it the second time and see what if it does, but if it doesn’t, he can still pitch. He’s going to find a way to pitch whatever the stuff is that he has.”

Deal....... I should push for a playoff or " final ranking" bet because pop throws several games a year in the regular season to keep the team fresh and the Thunder has younger legs, but I'll make the bet. Spurs almost got #2 seed last year.
