It's more about getting rid of Joe Johnson ridiculous contract. They spoke with Memphis about Joe Johnson previously
yeah I know but u should still get something back. Johnson is still a good player. Cavs would have a sick starting line up.

Talk about over paying. Det giving Jackson 80 mill. That is crazy. Teams are just throwing money at players. I see a lock out coming soon. The money is getting insane.

No Cavs fan should ever get into a battle of who's team is successful and who's isn't, for obvious reasons.
But Cavs fans just shouldn't care, either. Maybe down the road the Cavs can have aspirations of being a great franchise... but for right now its really just about 1 title.

Last year they failed to do that... but it was a great step in that direction and the most successful team in franchise history. There's plenty of reasons for optimism going forward.

Who cares if a couple of fans from teams with 3+ titles want to make fun of us for being happy about what the team accomplished last year. Fuck them.

They'd be getting back a $10 mill contract they can dump right away... and a starting caliber forward... all while dumping a $25 mill contract. It could save them tens of millions in luxury tax.

A lot of these deals sound crazy for good reason... but we really have to adjust the threshold in our minds. We're still thinking with numbers that have made sense for the past several years... the whole scale has changed this off season.

Remember... teams that are under the salary cap get hit hard with taxes too.... We could have a lot of teams facing a lot of empty space next season that will have to scramble to fill it up.

Unless you really think you can get Durant.... there's not a ton of options. I imagine a lot of these teams are thinking forward to next year, realizing that they need to get their books up to a certain number by next off-season.

Lakers adding bass is a so so move. Little past him prime but a nice role player.

Really?!? Pretty bad? Have you been reading anything NBA related in the last 24 hours and how pretty much all of the experts are saying what a nice recovery the Lakers have made?

It's really pretty simple. They don't have the roster to to attract top FA's right now, but they had to try anyway. The FO has done as well and perhaps better than expected given the roster the Lakers have been working with. As for Russell being the only saving grace, I guess you forgot that in the last draft they got Randle whom several folks said was on of the 2 or 3 best in that draft and they also got Clarkson who was the steal of last years draft.

It took them about a season and a half to get things figured out after Dr. Buss died and some mistakes were made. However, once Jeanie stepped up and took some control, things have settled and most Lakers fans have very few complaints.

Wiggins, Parker, Embiid were by FAR the 3 best in last draft- no one had randle in the top 3- let alone the top 2- which would have been insane with wiggins and parker there.

Lou - 7 mil a year
Cory Joseph - 7.5 mil a year

:laugh3: wtf is going on. Cory fucking Joseph.
Seriously. Unless this is maple-sucking at its finest I simply don't get it. Unless Lou wanted more to stay in Toronto and was willing to LA for less this is paying more for less.

Lakers did a good job with Williams for only 7 mill for 3 years. That was a steal for 6th man of the year. Main question can he be a starter?

I'm actually desperate enough to be happy if that happens.

He only has 1 year left on his deal.

Seriously, who would have thought that the Kings would have a better Summer than both LA Teams...COMBINED?

The Kings look great on paper.

But, I would pay money to see a NbA version of hardknocks with Boogie, Karl and Rondo...lol

Trainwreck in the making.
Hahahaha I am loving your avi. You crack me up. But, over the weekend I saw reports that the Lakers were finalizing a deal for Hibbert. If it's true I'm sorry my friend!
